Closing of Soarin and Malestrom

Does anyone know or think these rides will be closed in November? If yes, we may have to skip Epcot except dinner reservations.

If you look for the dark blue menu line near the top of this page you can put your cursor on "Planning" and then select "rehabs/closing" from the drop down menu. That's the latest official info from Disney.

Maelstrom's last day is rumored to be 9/27. I haven't heard a reopening date. Idk about Soarin.

Why are people assuming Soarin is going to close? Are people in the fast pass booking time frame seeing it disappear from the list of rides after a certain date?

I know Maelstrom disappears from the list after 9/27, but I haven't read anything about Soarin....

They talked about Soarin on the Dis this week.

They aren't even done with filming the new in-ride film, but they may also built a third theater to cut wait times. When they do this, they can close down 1 other other theaters at a time so they can retool it for the new film. So THAT way, there will always be at least 2 theaters running until they get everything running.

Long story short, I don't think it will be closing anytime soon.
