Closing Date Question

I'm wondering how accurate the closing date on the contract is. (financing through Disney for BLT) How close to your stated closing date did you actually close??

Our closing date is March 3rd...TWO days after the date to call and book a room. We really wanted to go in December, but our second choice would be to go over MLK weekend which includes DH bday. But I'd feel much better if our closing date was a few days earlier.

If you are buying through Disney, I think you can make reservations as soon as you pay your deposit (or as soon as they open, if you've already paid your deposit). You do not have to wait until closing.

Little off topic, but were there credit checks for the financing thru disney? I have lousy credit, thats why I am asking. Wondering if I would qualify.

When I called a few days ago they took my social security number and ran it. It told them if you would qualify for preferred 10% interest or standard 14% interest. It took the guy less than a minute to give me an answer. If you want to call and find out there is no pressure to buy but they can tell you if and for what interest rate you qualify.

If you buy through disney you can make reservations as soon as a day afer you sign the contract, the closing date has nothing to do with the ability to make reservations.

Thank you! I don't know what I was thinking! I have already made a booking with my DP's...guess I just thought it may be different.

When I called QA today as I was told to do per the paperwork we received I asked about this and they said exactly what you posted

As far as the credit check, our credit isn't good...mainly because we don't have alot of long term credit. So we were stuck with the higher rate, but we didn't have to provide anything other than our ss#'s. However, we are checking with our local bank to see what they can do for us...hoping for a much lower rate!! I mentioned this to the CM i talked to today and she said she would pend our stuff for a few extra days to give us time to see about the loan.
