Closest Park/Resort to Disney Springs

We really want to go to Raglan Road (for dinner) and to see the Irish Step Dancing!

Our trip is the 3rd week of August. We are doing 2 nights at Yacht Club and 5 at the Grand Floridian. We arrive on a Saturday at noon and have to be back to GF on the following Saturday by 2pm to leave.

When would be the best time to go? Is there transportation from the parks to DS? Is there a Park that is close to DS? Can you take transportation to a Park from DS? We would probably be going from a resort after an afternoon swim/break or perhaps after staying at a park till later evening.

There is one way bus service from the theme parks to Disney Springs from 4PM until 11PM or 2 hours after the park closes, whichever is earlier.

Saratoga Springs is the closest resort and you can walk to Disney Springs from there.

There is bus service from any resort directly to Disney Springs. Check the disney bus transportation webpage for info on times.

As for when is best for you to go, it's kind of impossible to answer based on the information you have provided.

Starting at 4 pm, you can take a bus from a park to DS, but there is no return.

Probably Epcot, with DHS just a few minutes behind.

All resorts have a bus to DS so as long as you are going from MK, DHS, EP, it would not be hard to go to DS via a resort prior to 4 pm. Last month, we decided to go to DS from DHS and it was just about 4 pm so we decided to try the bus, thinking we would have to wait for it. We walk up to the bus stop and there is the bus, standing room only, and it did not take off until right at 4 pm.
