Hi, I am usually a WDW park planner. I just booked (FREE) flights from Newark, NJ to LAX using up my Skymiles...... for October 2-6.

We need a hotel as close to DL as possible. DS (age 18) is in a wheelchair at the parks, we want to be able to walk without using a tram. But, we need a suite.

It is so hard to tell from my research...... what hotel with suites is closest to the entrance?? Help!?

Thanks so much, DL guests.

By suite, I am assuming separate room? BWPPI has mini suites, but there really is no real separate space. Next closest, I think, is the Park Vue, which is pretty much right at the crosswalk to DL. Desert Inn and Suites is also not much farther down the road. There are probably others, but hopefully some other dis'ers can help with that!

Check out Desert Inn and Suites. Very close to Disney. Have suites. Not sure what their wheelchair facilities are so check it out. We have just spent the past 9 nights there with no problems.

we really enjoyed our stays at Desert Inn.

Keep in mind, I know it has been mentioned, that while it is "two hotels" down from the cross walk, it really is NOTHING since the hotels are not "wide" as has been mentioned in other threads.

Also check out Camelot Inn & Tropicana Inn. Carousel also MIGHT have suites. You might also inquire about connecting rooms.

I'll have to second (third?) the Anaheim Desert Inn and Suites. It has four different suite layouts for you to choose from and as stated above, it's virtually right across the street from DLR's main entrance. Plus it offers a free continental breakfast. It's where I stay when I visit. :thumbsup2

I will 4th Desert Inn & Suites. They have a few different layouts to chose from, they are next door to Dennys, and just 1-2 buildings over from the crosswalk. We are staying there this October and got an excellant rate!! As you can see from my siggy, we stay there quite often.

HTH!!

Just what I needed, thanks!

Yes, we need 2 rooms, but we could all sleep in the one room. He just needs to fall asleep in a room alone. (We have learned this from a past somewhat disasterous stay at WDW, you do NOT want to know the details.)

I will look around today for options. I am still in shock that I found direct flights, EWR to LAX, for the Skysaver 25,000 miles. We are stingy with miles, I only want to book 25,000 mile flights.

I have to 5th or 6th desert inn its where we are planed to stay in oct. if all goes well and dec. They also have spa rooms

I booked Desert inn Parlor suite, it looks like just what we need.

Question. I booked on their website, it was $139/night for the suite room. On other sites, it was $149 and said free breakfast. Are all rooms free breakfast there? I would pay $10 more for a simple breakfast with the room, but I am not sure if I am getting it already anyway?

Thanks all!

the breakfast is not much oranges, toast, pastery roll, ceral, juice, milk and coffee.

This is the desert inn I do like staying there though been in march and may and have october booked too.

i am pretty sure all rooms come with breakfast. for that matter, we didn't get "vouchers" or anything for the breakfast, we all just went whenever. there are so many people in and out of there, not once did they even ask us if we were staying there.

we brought some yogurt and kept it in the fridge to add to the "breakfast" for the kiddos to get some protein. if i had thought about it, i might have brought some boiled eggs even, but we drive and i know for those that fly it might not be an option.
