Closest Hotel to Universal Studios

I'm checking this info for a friend. Does anyone know what the closest hotels (not onsite) are to universal studios and are they within walking distance and allow fairly easy access to the studios for someone without a car.

There is a Radisson across the street. You can walk.

All of the Kirkman hotels are right across the street and some of the ones on Major are walking distance, also.

Please note that all walks to Universal are LOOOONG ones! The only short walk is from the Hard Rock.

Yes they were. And there are some very good prices available there at www.easyclicktravel.com. I had never heard of that site until someone posted it a couple of days ago.

We stayed in the Amerisuites right across the street and really liked it there.

We are booked into Fairfield Inn by Marriott in a suite. Really good rate and the the hotel had good ratings via www.tripadvisor.com. You get breakfast, microwave, fridge, free shuttles etc.
