Closest Hotel to the Parks?

We recently added two additional nights to our December WDW vacation so we can visit Universal Studios. Because we only have three days at Universal we would like to pick the most convenient hotel. Which hotel is the closest to the parks? We are leaning towards the Hard Rock Hotel. Thanks for your help.

They're all close...PBH is furthest of the 3 tho. RPR closest to IOA and HRH closer to US.

Bubba's Mom is correct. HRH's back gate is closer to US, than RPR is to IOA though. Actually, HRH is almost as close to the entrance to IOA as RPR is. HRH is an easy walk to US. Although, RPR isn't that far from the entrance to IOA it's a much more difficult walk when you're tired in the evening. Their boat service is pretty efficient though. (Tip: RPR also has a short cut to the parks, by going through the lobby.) PBH is walkable, but you'd be in for a good walk. Unless you're pretty physically fit, you really need to take the boats. To sum up, if you're main concern is the proximity of the parks, stay at HRH. If you'd rather save a few bucks, go with RPR. For a nicer resort providing a true escape from the parks, stay at PBH.

Looking back at all these abbreviations, I'm not sure this will make any sense at all. If you need translation, let me know.
