Closest Car Rental to Park

Is there a car rental place walking distance to DLR.

I think we will be staying at the Tropicana, taking a shuttle from LAX to DLR.

We are hoping to do a one way car rental from DLR to LAX so we can enjoy our day before a late flight.

Any suggestions on a car rental place walking distance that we can do one way to LAX?

There's an Alamo in DTD, right next to the movie theater. We're doing the opposite of you... we're picking up our car at the airport, keeping it for 4 days and then dropping it off in DTD. It was way more expensive to do it this way, though, but I used Air Miles, and it was the same amount of miles for a one way rental. Would have been over $200 a day though to rent the car from the airport. Might be different for you if you're dropping it off at the airport.

There is also Hertz and Enterprise on Katella.

Since you are planning on dropping off the car at LAX, normally there is a "drop off" fee. Tropicana should have some local companies that they work with that can give you a good daily rate; but you will have to return the car in Anaheim, then take a shuttle back to the airport. This would work if you are planning on staying in the Anaheim area on your last day.

We won't be in the park the day we rent the car so DTD won't work for us.

We are hoping to check out of hotel, rent car, and check out LA/Hollywood before a late flight home and car drop off at LAX

There is also an Avis on Katella about a mile from Paradise Pier. We're renting a car for the night at LAX and staying on the beach for a night. I'll drop the car off the next day and then walk back to the hotel.

we rented from the Hertz on Katella last March - it was a short walk from the Residence Inn - at least for our rate there was no drop off fee to SNA - not sure if they have fees to LAX.
