Closest car rental to ASM?

Hi, where are the closest or easiest to access car rental compaies to the All Star Music Resort?
I've seen that Avis is only about a 15 min walk away but wondered if there is another one in the same area or do any of them offer a pick up drop off service.
I see Alamo is at the Disney Dolphin Resort and another at the Disney Car Care Centre do they have some sort of shuttle to get you there or can you use Disney transport?
I'd like to have a couple to compare prices with, otherwise I'd just go with Avis for the easy walk.

Wow, just to get an idea I did a quote with Avis and Alamo just then and Avis was more then double the price, 4 days Dodge Caravan Alamo $315 compared to Avis $836
So I will definitely be wanting to use Alamo if I can!

Glad to see that Alamo has a cheaper rate because I'm not sure that would be an easy walk to Avis from AS. There are no sidewalks along Disney's main roadways. Curious though as to where Avis is located.

When calculating directions, Google Maps appears to be confused about the difference between E. Buena Vista Drive and W. Buena Vista Drive.

Google Maps thinks Disney's All-Star Music Resort is right by Downtown Disney. That's wrong. It's about 6 miles from All-Star Music to the Hilton at Downtown Disney where the Avis desk is located. That would be a 2-hour walk, and only part of the route has sidewalks.

The major car rental companies all have pick-up and an drop-off on WDW property. Call the toll-free reservations number of your favorite car rental company.

That's what I wondered. Just couldn't picture any place Avis could be by ASM unless it was added since our visit last year.

That explains why google maps wasn't understanding my west buena vista!

Book with Alamo/National from the Car Care Center, they offer pickup and drop off service. The Dolphin is much closer but doesn't offer that service.

BTW if you are renting for your entire stay you might want to check rates for picking up and dropping off at the airport, rates are usually much better.

I agree that a weekly rental rate at the airport might compare favorably with renting for a few days while at WDW, especially when you factor in the convenience of having a car whenever you need one.

But if you are renting at WDW, there's no reason to limit yourself to Alamo/National at the Car Care Center. If they offer a good rate, that's fine. But you might do better with another company.

Just ask several rental car company for a location that has shuttle service to WDW hotels. Mention coupon codes and affiliate programs (such as AAA) if you qualify.

For example, Hertz has locations in around a dozen hotels in the general vicinity of Walt Disney World. (Some, but probably not all, of them all have shuttles.) Hertz also has a free-standing Disney-Kissimmee location on Hwy 192 just south of Disney's Animal Kingdom. It specializes in service to WDW resort guests:

Thanks. We're only renting a car for 2 days over the weekend so just want something handy to the resort.
I'll ring around for prices and ones with a shuttle type service. We have mainly used Hertz when we've travelled over there but have used Enterprise once and found they were good also so I'm not that fussed on which one we go with.
