No condos, hotels, just a 2+ mile beach to walk a gather lots of shells and be away from all the craziness. At the far east end of the beach is a small swimming beach area. The other walking area is all natural and just for walking, but really neat. You could spend a few hours here and then head south a ways to Clearwater Beach for just the opposite...lots of people, hotels, restaurants and night life.
Gulf side has the beautiful powder white sand and more shells.
Daytona or Cocoa Beach is fun, though and both would give nice views of the Ocean. Waves for swimming would be better on Atlantic side.
Figure and hour and 20-30 minutes or so to each beach depending on traffic.
Thanks for the suggestions as being the the dry ol southwest, I made a "beach" day for us, no Disney, just my family and plenty of ocean!!! Now where to eat..............
