Closest airport to DL

We plan on flying in from Las Vegas. I was told John Wayne airport was the closest to Disneyland but have no idea if this is the case. Also does anyone know if Disney provides a shuttle like ME? If not what is the safest and cheapest way to get from airport to DL? It will be DH and me so don't need a limo or SUV.

Yes John Wayne (SNA) is the closest to Disneyland. Disney does not provide a free shuttle to any of the area airports. From SNA, its easiest to either take a taxi or uber. There are paid shuttle services as well, but they aren't as convenient since they may stop at other hotels before getting to yours.

SNA is very close, and helps you avoid much of the LA traffic.

Long Beach is super close too. Check out Jet Blue! We love LB since it is tiny, by the time we get to the baggage claim, the bags are there, we walk across a tiny street and jump in a cab and are at DLR within 20-30 minutes.

We took a cab/ $40 flat from SNA and I was glad we did. We were at Paradise Pier in 15 minutes. This time I think we are trying Uber because it will be half the price and just as quick.
