I really like this thread! I like the fact that people are able to state what they see happening on the CB.

I'm also glad to hear what the "Debate Board people" have to say about how they feel about what goes on here and why it doesn't happen on the Debate Board; why threads have longer lives over there when there is a controversal issue being discussed -- well, sometimes they have longer lives. Someone said there is a difference between a debate and diatribe. Oh how true that is!!

As far as threads being locked, I don't think anything about it. Pete's house, Pete's rules.

And they somehow make a nice decoration on ANOTHER thread that includes lots of attacks on a certain person. Some people commented that BobO posted this subject matter often, well that's nothing compared to the number of times I've seen the attacks go on, deserved or otherwise.

Well at least this thread wasnt closed as soon as a similiar thread on a different board(and not started by me by the way).
As for some people saying this is the same old rant of mine i think we have seen that some people be they new or old too this board have found the discussion useful.
And rules are made to be changed!!! And if people are shown that the rules may not be in the best interests/or make sense they can be changed but they cant be changed if everybody sits on their hands. We have had alot of rules in our society that were changed for the better and no reason it cant also happen here.
And even though im a promd member of the HEH club i wouldnt want to hang eros!!!(unless of course he comitted a heinous crime).
There is no reason why you shouldnt be able to agree with somebody on one topic and disagree on another but still be able to get along!!

Sonjah-Laws/Rules are changed all the time, be it speeding laws or other laws. At this site you try to enlighten the powers that be and for other laws you contact your elected officials to have the laws/rules changed. Yopu may not always gets your way but its always good to be involved in the process.
Telling my brethen that rules were made to be changed may not help you out of your predicment(lol) but unfotuanly we dont make the laws but have to enforce what the elected officials tell us to do as they make the laws.
