We had a reservation for October that we needed to cancel due to serious family illness. Our use-year ends November 30 and we're not able to rebook before then (too risky and we couldn't enjoy a vacation anyway when we know how sick mother-in-law is.) This is the first time we've ever rented points because we love to use them ourselves! Unfortunately, that means I have no references.
Due to the very short time frame to use the points, I priced them accordiningly, and need to have the full payment via cashier's check or personal check (I'm not sure which one would clear my bank quicker, but you may want to consider that). This is a non-refundable reservation and due to the M-I-L's illness, I honestly don't expect to have time to assist anyone to change a reservation, once it's made. I realize any renter needs to have a lot of trust in me, and promise that I will follow through.
Edited to add: Since we have never rented out our points, there was no reason for us to have Paypal. Sorry, but that's not a payment option.
As you can see, I've been a DIS member since 1999 and DH and I are serious Disney lovers. I don't post much anymore because I've found that similar questions get asked repeatedly, and there's lots of newer members who have the energy to answer. I read the board a LOT, especially when we have a trip planned. This trip was to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary, but there will be plenty of other opportunities (like we really need an excuse to go to Disney!)
Please include your request for:
1. resort preference, realizing that there's not much availability
2. type of room -- studio, 1 BR, 2 BR
3. any requests (ie, upper floor, near elevator, general idea of view)
4. How many adults and children
And please tell me if you are serious and want me to book the reservation when I call Member Services. I will book the room in my name and get all the info from you about names of guests. As soon as full payment is received and cleared the bank, I'll change the reservation to your name and contact you with the details.
