I have 100 points at Boulder Ridge Villas that must be used by the end of November 2021. I can use approx 15-20 future points if someone needs excess of 100. I have been a DVC member since 2008 but I have never rented points out other than using David’s in the past. Covid has cancelled a DisneyWorld Dec 2020 and a Aulani Feb 2021 trip for our family, hence the extra points.

are the points transferrable? Looking to use 40 points in May.

No, they are banked so I don’t think that they are transferable to the best of my knowledge. They are 2019 points but I will check.
