Soooooo, I'm confused... you had a trip planned in Sept. of 2011 and pushed it back a year? Am I reading that right?

If I am, then yay! I'm going in September of 2012 too! I'm taking my youngest boy (who will be on the verge of 18) for our first solo trip to WDW! We hope to be staying at POR-AB. Dates of 9/14-9/23.

We were planning on a family reunion Disney Cruise/parks for April of 2012 but that won't work now.

We'll hit WDW a few weeks after I drop my baby (DS18) off at college in Colorado. Taking a week off to drive him from WA to CO. Should make for a memorible trip before he enters- adulthood!

I'm excited for both my boys and our trips!!

I know this is the Sept. thread but I just had to share my excitement for my AUG 2012 trip, because it's already starting this early!!!! I've begun the thread reading, resort planning, restaurant planning, (albeit on a small scale) etc, just because I'm excited, once again. You just can't help it!!!:surfweb::cheer2:

Wacowgirl,
yep.
We actually had Two cancelled trips.
My grandma offered to make payments on a trip in May for a wedding present. When we had to move, we cancelled the trip (thank god she got trip insurance for us) and paid for the move instead. Then I, determined to still go, set up our own trip for September through AAA. Again, Trip insurance allowed me to get most of my deposit back when DH hadn't been given the job we had moved up here for. Then we were tentatively waiting for deals to be announced for January to go for my birthday.

then, merely days after paying costly repairs on his mustang, a truck hit him at an uncontrolled intersection, and we have to take him to court because DH and I had cheap insurance that didn't cover the $3000 repair that it would take to fix the damage on his car, it only covered liability damage.

*sigh*
I dont mean to sound all, woe is me, I am just relieved that we have a plan we are sticking to. I'm kinda grateful, because I feel that DH and I can handle anything now.

DH and I had a long talk, decided that going a year away we would be able to pay cash, and if anything major came up, we could be able to deal with it without costing us the trip, and without ruining our credit or feeling cash-strapped the whole trip.

Whole life story aside, I'm very happy to add you to the list!

SO when I get to WDW, It will be a very deserved vacation!

and DjFan, Being overly excited no matter when you go is understandable. We are probably going to use the same deals! :woohoo:

DJFan88~ Welcome! I hope you have lots of fun while you're down there!!! Where are you staying? When in August? We went in Aug of 2008 and had a blast!

Princess/es19~ Dain girl! You certainly have faced some challenges! I'm glad to hear that you'll be going next year! Are you using a TA or going through AAA again? I'm so happy for you and DH that you can finally get this trip in! It will make it that much more magical

I'll be using the same TA that I used for my last trip in '08. She was awesome! She's on the east coast so I didn't have to wake up at 4am to make my ADR's or switch my ressie when free dining came out. She saved me a lot of headaches!

DS16 got involved over the weekend in figuring out where we're going to eat at. He didn't go last time DS18 and myself went. He didn't want to deal with the heat and humidty. :confused3 So when I asked if he wanted to go this time around, he said yes! I'll pull him out of school for a week but he'll be asking for any homework he may have. He'll be a senior then so I expect he won't miss too much given it will be like the 2nd week of school. Usually DS16 and I go camping while DS18 and I do something else (DS18 doesn't camp) so this will be much better. Perhaps that's why we picked POR-AB for the outdoorsy look :rotfl:

BTW, I like to talk

Than talk on! I am the same.

DH and I are debating whether to use a Disney TA or AAA again, will probably depend on whether we want to rent a car or not. Hopefully DH and I can add a few more days to this trip.

DH and I are also spending a day at Universal and are buying the fast pass they have so that we can do it in one day. I know its not specifically disney, but I am a HUGE Potter fan.

I keep on changing between Port Orleans and Carribbean Beach. If we decide to rent a car than I will choose CB, and if not than POR or POFQ sounds better. For me, I equate POFQ looks a lot like DL's Haunted Mansion, and CB looks like Pirates. I would love nothing more than to relax on a white sandy beach, but than again, I could stay at a value because I probably wont have time to enjoy my hotel since I will be running around at six different theme parks. Thank goodness I have a lot of time to plan this out!

Or I could have DH make a decision or two! :lmao:

September 19-23 for my 31st Birthday at POP. Just a small trip to tide me over to our December 1-15 Christmas at WDW & Podcast Cruise 4.0 on Disney Fantasy.

September 17-23 for my 31st Birthday. Just a small week trip to tide me over to our Decmember 3-13 Christmas at WDW & Disney Dream vacation.
Welcome!
I added you to the list, let me know where you decide to stay so I can update it accuratly

Summer is here! Disney should be announcing deals for 2012 in a couple months! :woohoo:

** thinking outloud here as my co-worker can no longer tolerate my speaking of vacay that's 462 days away **

I REALLY wish that it was August so I can book my vacation!!!! :rotfl:

Do yall feel the same?

I second that. I would be absorbed into it right now, but I am planning a September 2011 trip to Disneyland. My grandma is dying to go down to DLR and we have a mini trip planned. Three days only, but they haven't seen WOC and I wanna take note of everything I ride so that next year I can see the differences.

My trip schedule is going to be in rough draft form until the day before we leave! I keep learning new things and updating my list with trivia and tidbits about the rides and queues and facades that I may as well be writing a book! :lmao: Im formatting it to my Ipod and his droid so that we can read it without needing a light. (and without bringing along a notebook!)

Can anyone hit a fast-forward button to this September for me?

I know this is a thread for Sept 12 but we are going on September 10-17 2011. It's our daughters first time and my dh and I haven't been in 15 years or so and that wasnt with eachother. We have done so much planning and research on the trip that its shaping up to be the trip of a lifetime. We even got our tickets in the mail today for mnsshp. We are staying at pofqand we are doing 4 different character dinings thanks to the free ddp. My daughter who will be 6 then want to go as twin Alice's. Can't wait can't wait!
