Now to go work on Monster trucks !!!!!!! Boys Gotta love them !:woohoo:

I finally took some pictures of all the things I have finished in the last month or so. We head to Disney at the end of next month and I think I am finished sewing. I have some bows to make and maybe a tee or two for the adults in the group but the kids clothes are finished. Well, I may or may not embellished some shorts for my youngest with the same material used for his shirts. Here goes:

Here are my oldest son's array of shirts. He is 6.5 and seems to be really excited that I would do this for him. He is so cute!
IMG_0290.jpg

Next up is what I finally decided on for our dinner at the Wilderness Lodge. However after reading a few trip reports I sure hope our experience is better.
IMG_0291.jpg

Here is the final outfit for Ainsley, I repurposed a pair of jeans that were too short and made them into capris and also did the skirt. She can wear whichever.
IMG_0294.jpg

My youngest son is 2 and doesn't really care what he wears but seems to get really excited when he sees his shirts. "Mine?, mine?"
IMG_0295.jpg

The Leo tee is the one I am most proud of, it was the most complicated applique I have done to date. I think it turned out great and the best thing is that Jack LOVES it!
IMG_0296.jpg

IMG_0298.jpg

And just because I had these overalls laying around I added Rocket to them. It got a little tricky at the top when I apparently didn't take into account the metal latch part. I ended up having to hand sew a bit at the top that I just couldn't get my machine to.
IMG_0299.jpg

And finally pics from this morning of Ainsley in one of her valentines dresses. This is the fabric she chose and is wearing to preschool today. I am almost done with the one with fabric that I chose. She will wear it to church and I think will be fine to wear at other times as well. Let's just say it doesn't have any candy hearts on it!

Ainsley is driving me crazy this morning. She just can't wait to go to her "balentimes party" and show off her new dress. We still have another 20 minutes before we can leave. On the other hand it is nice to know she appreciates my work.
Way to go that is awesome And what a great feeling when the kiddos appreciate it all .......

OK I have been working my butt off sewing for my family. I will post pictures of all the outfits this weekend.
But I have a serger question.
For those of you with the Walmart singer serger can you tell me what settings you use for a rolled hem and what settings you keep it at for normal serging. I haven't used my serger in quite some time and it just isn't set up right anymore and I have tried many settings and just can't get it right and I don't have time to mess with it so I figured you all would know here. TIA

BIG GIVE question. I am ordering some bottlecaps that go in the middle of the hair bows. I am trying to order the most popular, Cinderella, Aurora, Tink to put in the middle of the hair bows. t our house Jack skellington is very popular. I went through past BIG GIVES and I do not see any request for jack from girls of a hair bow wearing age.

Do you think I should order Jack bow centers for BIG GIVES???

Maybe closer to October there will be more Jack love???

These all look great!!! Looks like you have been busy. Don't you love it when the boys appreciate your work. My DS 6 loves the shirts I have done for him(just mickey head appliques) and my little guy LOVES all things mickey so he really loves his shirts, he wants to wear them. He keeps taking them out of the "to be packed" pile!

Thanks that is what I have been using but it just doesn't seem like the fabric quite rolls right on my rolled hem. I have the switch by the blade flipped to "r". What setting do you use for the knob that has the F on it? Maybe that is my problem.

OK I need to stop loading up my IPOD and get back to sewing since I work all weekend and today is my last day off until we leave...

So I was thinking this morning that maybe instead of just posting a few random pics and post maybe I should let you guys get to know me:confused3... Hello! I'm Tina I am a stay-at-home mom to a 2 year old DD and a wifey. I currently live in Silvis IL. But was raised in Virginia beach Where I meet my hubby when I was working as a Hair Stylist. We ended up moving to Longveiw TX for a year before coming to IL. I would say I like it here but that would be a lie! I have not adjusted well with people or the area. Which has put a damper on my moods! It is very lonely not knowing anyone or having Family around. So I am very excited to be going to WDW in march with my family, parents, and my brother and his family! I have been sewing off and on since I was in middle school. I am not great by any means but my DH family is very impressed with my ability to look at something and then remake it. My family has always been crafty so to me its just another thing? I have a goal to work out and sew and keep my house spotless:lmao: and be the best mom and wife I can be but untill I figure out how to make my body do what my mind wants I am just here. Ok so neways! I just love that I found this board it keeps me excited and a place to feel at home. Thank you for letting me be a part of your group!

I just mailed my niece and nephew a box of clothes for WDW and thought dang why didn't I take pictures first? Well I will have lots of pics when we get back. Till then I have 2 girly pirate outfits to make, 1 pink minnie dress, lots off bows and stuff. Channel me some energy to get it done I have been fighting a cold and don't feel like doing anything! Ok well I think that is enough for one day.:surfweb:

So I finally talked Steve into letting me take a quick trip to CA, just no day at disney. I figured I'll plan a meal at Goofy's Kitchen for a little pick-me-up.

Are there any other meals outside the park we could do? We haven't been since 2005 and I know a lot has changed since then. I was really hoping to see Minnie, Daisy or one of the Princesses.

Both of my girls love their Jack bows! I know they are a little unique but Jack is a favorite in our house. :)

HEY! I live in Longview! How long ago did you live here? Where did you live?
Next time you make something, try to remember to take pics! We'd love to see!

How funny! We lived there 2 years ago I worked at Salon Vargas. That would be funny if we know each other!

Welcome! I speak for myself but I am sure most everyone else too would feel the same. as I would love to see your pictures! This place is addicting just to let you know! hehe

So I finally talked Steve into letting me take a quick trip to CA, just no day at disney. I figured I'll plan a meal at Goofy's Kitchen for a little pick-me-up.

Oooh I love for a day or two or ten down south! haha you could go to Story tellers cafe at the Grand Californian or Lilo and Stitch at Paradise Pier.

Hi!
There is a Lilo and Stitch meal inside the Paradise Pier Hotel and a Chip and Dale meal in the Grand California Hotel. You can make priority seating arrangements all through the same number.714-781-DINE (3463)
Enjoy! I've been to Lilo and Stitch meal and we thought it was great. It's a buffet and we really enjoyed it. The other one we haven't tried yet but I've heard that you can order off of a menu there as opposed to having an all-you-can-eat buffet.

Welcome! Where is Silvis IL? I am in Woodstock, IL. I will say after living in GA for 10 yrs I miss it down there and am not a fan of IL either!

My husband just got around to posting some pics from this summer. My Mom is a big time horseback rider so she made arrangments for her 2 granddaughters to be able to ride a large pony at the barn. I actually didnt know DD smiles at all as she cried quickly after getting on. I love this pic.
n743068622_2092181_3654.jpg

He was a very tall pony, wish they had some smaller ponies there!

What fun!! My son who is 10, goes to a disabled riding facility and just loves it. He loves being on 'his' horse for the time he is there!!

It is in the Quad cities. northwest of Peoria and 3 hours West of Chicago. So not to far from ya. How are the fabric stores over there?
