Here is my take on a Hannah Montana shirt. Originally I planned to have the writing (which I got from a HM calender of Nikki's)actually embroidered on the shirt but I was in the restroom and my machine thread broke and I couldn't figure out how to go back and start it where it left off because the machine kept sewing and didn't stop where it broke. So I tried to gently use my old friend the seam ripper and it wasn't being very nice! So I decided to just embroider the lettering on a fabric and applique it on. Once I embroider the fabric I realized the material was WAY too thin. UGH! I had already spent all day Friday trying to make it just right but it gave me nothing but issues so I decided to just use it as is.

ignore the white stripe in between the guitars I also originally was going to have the Rock and Roll part of the lettering in between them so that was my soap marking and it will wash out.

It looks great and you are so creative. Sorry about the machine breaking. I hate when things don't go as planned but your shirt looks beautiful.

When you guys first started talking about meeting up, I thought, " That is too many people, how will they have fun?" "It will take up so much time from the parks, and be too chaotic." BUT how wrong was I!?!?!?!?!? You all look like you are having such a blast. How long did everyone stay? It's so great everyone had such fun and the kids bonded too! What a neat way to teach kids geography too. You know you can say "Remember "x" well they are from "here" and this is where that is on the map, and this is what grows there etc. " I love stuff like that!

Tried my first Simply Sweet. First time doing ruffles too. (I only have boys) Anyway, i think it turned out pretty cute. There are some mistakes, but my family can't find them, so I think I am safe.

It was kind of neat, all the kids were playing in China as all the Mommies were talking. Smaller groups would form and then merge into different groups. Then we all headed over to ESPN-some rode the boat and some walked. When we got to ESPN Piper was there as was Karen (Minus her boa LOL). ESPN was a little "chaotic" but I think everyone had a good time.

In addition to the big "Meet" yesterday, there have been several smaller get togethers. Some planned, some not. I ran into Jessica at MK on Saturday and Tom on Wednesday. And yesterday I saw a girl in Jayden's outfit-but it wasn't Jayden LOL. It turned out to be her best friend!

Yes I love the pattern. I goes together very easy, and I love the ruffled shoulder straps that you don't have to ruffle, since the elastic does it for you.

I showed it to my mother without the buttons and she said it needed something so pulled these out of her stash and put them on. Gotta love moms.

Aw, the DisBoutique Meet photos look like everyone had a great time. I would so love to plan another trip for this year but right now it looks like we won't be able to go until 2010 when we hope to do another family trip with my sisters, BILs and their kids.

So, you were affected by the crazy snow too. My in-laws live in the Portland area and were actually stuck in the house for almost two weeks as they couldn't get down the hill they live on....except for on foot

We're about 35 miles SW of Portland. Our car got stuck in the driveway so we had to walk to get to any stores for a bit more than a week. Poor Zoe got mostly Dollar Tree items for stocking stuffers because I hadn't had time to do Christmas shopping before the snow hit.

Grrrrr I can't sleep! What is wrong with me. Its friggin 5 in the morning! I have yet to go to bed. I have tried everything. I read, watched a movie, I facebooked, I played wii...I have Dis'd plenty.

I can't sew it will wake up the kiddo who is sleeping in my bed near the machine.. Oy tomorrow is gonna be (oh I should say today) a draggin butt day I can see it now. And Georgia wanted to go to the mall to Build a bear or see a movie! ooh Movie..I can sleep. OH wait my snoring might not work there. Crap!

We had Christmas about a week late... when UPS could finally get to our house with all our packages.... next year I won't do ALL my holiday shopping online.... and last minute
We woke up to SNOW today.... no school delays or closures for us this time.
