I fell in love with this fabric. I have had red issues and really only ever had one I liked using for applique (which is almost gone) then I found this stuff and just love it! I think I have about 12 yards in a few different colors!

Update :
Okay so i am foreclosing on my house we decided that's the best thing to do. we are gonna rent for awhile and get caught up so that we can purchase a bigger better more comfortable one, i have 2 older boys in a teeny tiny small room who are getting to be teenagers , our water heater burst and ruined the downstairs floor . which is more to replace then the house is worth. I hate my neighborhood and it is getting pretty bad her especially when the fences are tagged by gangs every other night and the police are up and down your street as much as the post man. Plus their is a canal across from me and alot of robberies have happened because of it . and i hate the JR high my son will be going too ... needless to say it took this to happen for me to realize it, Plus My husband is miserable and want us to have alot better.
BUT i do have till june to find a diff place to live . It was a tough desicion but it is the right thing to do ..

with that said My dh brought me home a lil gift today for all that i have put up with and the stress of his loosing his job and the kids and just wanted to see my passion for life continue, I kinda fell into a depression spiral and it scared him.

He hands me a receipt for a brand new Singer quantum Futura CE350 embroidery machine
It is on order and i should have it next week sometime
It was on sale at Jo-anns Sat and he said that if he would have told me about it i would have said No (Which he is right)
I had been researching them and had wondered what kind i would want If we got our income taxes back so i kept putting it off and finally he made me call Jhammy and ask her what she had SAT. (THanks Jhammy)
He said he did not see spending money on something less when this one was on sale ..
I can honestly say i am still wanting to take it back but at the same time i WANT it ...
I am just taking a selfish moment in life and i am gonna keep it . I love to sew and it helps with my Mood and self esteem so much ...
Is this completely insane of me or what?

I'm glad you are finding peace in your decision. I am glad to hear that you think it is for the best. I really believe everything happens for a reason and I'm sure it will be for the very best.

My MIL has a futura CE350 - and I have been the only one to use it, and I love it. I have used the program it comes with to digitize a couple things and it has been great. I really love it and hope to get myself one once we are working and on our own again. . . .

I hear what you are saying about buying American. I try. Though i d do my part with the animals buy not eating meat at all It kind of grosses me out. Though I still have to make it for the rest of the family.

As for the gout. George has had it for a few yrs. Tell him he needs to cut out things with uric acid. Tomatoes are a big one!!! Shrimp and beer are another issue. George is actually on meds daily because of it. Poor guy if he eats too much salad he has stomach issues since he has no colon if he eats too much uric acid his foot gets bad! Actually not this last time but the time before when we went to WDW he had to miss the last day of our trip because the food was too rich for him and he wasn't drinking enough water to help flush everything out of his system. Poor guy had to hang out in the hotel room all day why we where at the parks because he couldn't walk his gout was so bad!

He hasn't gone to the doctor yet so we're not sure but all of the symptoms fit. The funny thing is my husband has never touched a shell fish or drop of alcohol in his life. We don't eat seafood or a lot of red meat. We do eat a lot of beans which are high in purines. We are cutting back to once or twice a week w/ red meat, watching the beans and starting him on B1 and vitamin C supplements along w/ LOTS of water and more regular excercise in hopes to keep him off meds. He even tried to eat blueberries in his pancakes b/c blueberries are apparently really good for people w/ gout.That didn't go over so well (bluberries, cherries and strawberries all are good but he doesn't like any of them) But it hasn't been fun. The first flair up he had he couldn't walk for 2 weeks. This last time it only lasted for a couple of days thankfully. But it was the weekend and it was over before we could get to the Dr.s for testing. Hopefully his next flair up will happen during the week so we can get the blood tests he needs.

Look up foods with URIC ACID and have him stay away from those. You would be surprised at what has them. DH does drink beer but hates fish he tried changing his diet to eat healthy and it got worse. Then he researched what actually has it. His big culprit was tomatoes.
I think it is great you are trying to help it with diet. Like i said DH tried but his system is so messed up! If he tries to help his cholesterol his gout gets bad and he gets blockages because he doesn't have a colon. So after everything we figured out FOR HIM the best bet is to go on meds. UGH but i will say since going on meds he hasn't had an issue !

I think you should keep it. Men take the finances so personally and so hard. They feel like failures when things just don't go right. I think taking it back would rob him of the little bit of joy he was able to have by "providing" you with a luxury.

We will be there May 9-16.

Great job on HM! I just love that blue-ish/aqua-ish fabric. It looks like the fabric I felll in love with! Mya is going to LOVE it!

I told Lin the other day that I think I am so unmotivated and just not feeling like much because of the weather. I feel like the cold is just dragging on. Ours cold isn't even that cold, but it is like no break in site of just a nice sunny 70 degree day like usual.

I finished my disney girl/mom shirt this morning but now have to do Lin's. I didn't take pictures yet since I was being kind of lazy. I think I need to map out a to do list right now! I love to cross something off a list!

Have you guys noticed the prices for fabric at Joann online are about half of the in store price?
I have been fooled by this twice.. I know I should have learned the first time.
Saw something online and ran over to the store to get it and the price was higher... no shipping so it all works out about the same, but just seems odd to me.

While I was there today I looked through the remnant bins... I have found some great pieces the last few times. And I picked a half yard of this up......

now, what to I do with a half yard of this?

Hubby is out of town for a few days and I promised I wouldn't go crazy at the fabric stores while he was gone, so I would like to work with what I have... but thats not much I have a couple of scraps of some pink dots that match but not enough to really help. Although I could use it to make a applique like the lady bugs on the fabric. My DD is only 2 and a half so she doesn't take much fabric yet. I figure a pillowcase dress is an option, but anything else come to mind?

At Joann today a lady way buying yards of red furry fleece to make boas for her dd7 b-day party this weekend... it was HSM themed! She said it was a fake sleepover... girls come at 6pm in PJs, with blankets and teddy bears and go home at 9pm.
I LIKE this idea I'll have to remember it when the time comes.
