This is for Dallas.

Wow, just in one night? You go girl!:rotfl: :thumbsup2

Very cute! Good job on the applique! I'm yet to try any appliqueing, but I'm feeling more and more bold and courageous as I read this thread. I have an idea for a first attempt brewing in my head ...

Ok, here's what I just finished. I made it as a practice to get used to the pattern. I plan to use it to make Ava's Easter dress, this year. I got this beautiful brocade fabric to use, so I really want it to be perfect. No mistakes. That's why I'm practicing. This dress came out pretty cute, but it definitely has its imperfections. Not visible on camera, though, so I'll just keep it to myself where the imperfections lie :p

CUTE!
Nice job! :thumbsup2

Thank you all for your complinents on the Hannah Montana outfit. That is the first outfit I have made for someone I didn't know! I was trying so hard to make no mistakes! Sara Beth loved the outfit and just had to carry the box herself into the post office! She even decorated the box with lots of mickey mouse stickers!

This came out really cute! I think I have that pattern. The pattern will make a very nice Easter dress

I am making a dress today from an idea in my head. I wanted to know about how to put this together.

The back is 3 pieces with the center piece shirred 14 rows at the top. Do I shir the center back first or put the pieces together and then shir?

Let me know if a picture of my drawing would help.

Love the color combo on HM!
At Joann today a lady way buying yards of red furry fleece to make boas for her dd7 b-day party this weekend... it was HSM themed! She said it was a fake sleepover... girls come at 6pm in PJs, with blankets and teddy bears and go home at 9pm.
I LIKE this idea :thumbsup2 I'll have to remember it when the time comes.

that is a fabulous idea!!!

I found this in my old computer as a bookmark. It is for Disney Valentines that can be printed on card stock.

Thanks for the link. Jenna has already picked the ones that she wants and I actually have card stock on hand.

That dress is so cute. I think it looks like Annie. That's a compliment by the way. I love Annie and her dresses.

I have been beading this minnie outline and I was thinking of filling it in but it might be too heavy. I dont really like how wonky the ear is, and DH just dosnt like it at all :confused3 Madi likes it and so does Katie.

Haha, thank you. Yeah, I really like vintage children's styles. You're right, I can totally see an Annie dress. Hey, my little sis was Annie in a play, once, and has the curly Annie wig. Maybe this could be Ava's Halloween costume, next year. :rotfl: Assuming she doesn't grow too much between now and then.

Yeah, it was simplicity pattern 3588. The dress has an option to do an Asian looking collar on it. I think that might fit better with the brocade fabric for the Easter dress. I don't want it to look themey, though. My husband is Chinese, so she could probably get away with it, but then she doesn't look a lick Chinese, herself. She even has blue eyes. We have no idea where those came from. I have dark brown eyes, like my DH.

CUTE!

Good find on the pettiskirt!! I wish one of those would just turn up somewhere near me. It looks great with that Bulldogs sweatshirt, btw ;)

The last outfit that I posted I was not too sure about it as it looked like it needed more ... but when I was sewing the outfit on Sunday a friend of ours was in the house with his wife and two daughters, the older one is 9 yrs old , and as I was trying to decide what to do, I asked her to try it on, (big mistake!!) she wanted the outfit for her and I felt bad so I gave her to her, on the funny note I asked her what she thought about adding ruffles and she told me that no "cool" girl wears ruffles as they are for babies!!!!!!:confused3 :faint: :faint: :sad2:

I made another outfit and did add the ruffles:flower3: but I have this nagging feelings in the back of my head...

I made a headband to go with it but may be too big, It has elastic so maybe I can re do it ---can somebody give me the measures for a little girls head? this is for Noah's sister (she is 8yrs)

I LOVE the ruffles! I think the first outfit was nice but I thought it was for an older girl. This one looks much more like an 8 year old. I have an 8 year old and she wants it! I have the same material so maybe I can whip something up. Too cute!
