Hey this is Kat and I am currently still at WDW. There was a small glitch in the swap and it was missing for a few days. Luckily it was found. Gina should have it in her possesion now. I got lucky and got an amazing CM who searched for the fridge for me. When it was not found she gave me one of Disney's for free for the lenght of our stay. It was wonderful. That made it so Gina was able to have it for the length of her stay as well and it worked out great for all involved. Happy swappping everyone and please remember that the home resort is All Star MUSIC!

We're back and EXHAUSTED!! Have been up since 2:00am our time and it is now 5:30pm our time and we just got home...off to get some much needed zzzzz's.

I knew we were supposed to be at ASSports at the same time. We did not spend a lot of time there, but when I did, I kept my eyes open for your DIS sign. No luck.

On the way home from the airport, my DD14 said - "Hey Mom, I think there was another DIS-er in our building." "Oh yeah", I said. Why do you think that?" "Well, I saw a sign in the window a couple of rooms down. Do you know eeyoregon?" "WHAT?!", I cried, "why didn't you tell me that before??" "I kept forgetting."

We were in Building 9 - Home Run - on the first floor. It seems like you were a few doors closer to the parking lot than we were. I always went to the parking lot via the little circle sidewalk area since that's where we parked our car. I never went to the left from our door. I cannot believe it!!

Oh well, maybe next time...

OH NO!!! Yes, that was me! We were in #9128 on the 1st floor...probably walked right past your room on the way to the pool and food court! I didn't think ANYONE would see our sign because we were so far out of pocket. Yes, maybe next time! LOVED our locatin though as we had a car and could park right there. I hope that you have a great trip!

You are welcome to use the fridge starting October 5th and swapping on October 8th. You would be 1st in line if the 9th and 10th opened up. Let me know if you are interested in partial dates. Send a PM with first/last name of reservation, cell # if available during stay and email address other than DIS.

We did have a great trip. We only got caught in the rain once - at Epcot - but we were under a roof between Mousegear and Electric Umbrella. Not a bad place to be "stuck"!

Boy, wasn't it hot, though? That was the hottest and most humid it's been on any of our trips. Thank goodness that so many of the attractions we like are inside.

How was your trip? Where did you stay after ASSports?

Hot and humid for sure but believe it or not, it wasn't as bad as last August temp wise. Monday was our "caught in the rain" day...the only day DS had sneakers and socks on!

This is just a reminder to be persistent when picking-up the fridge.

Last week, when I inquired about the fridge, I had a castmember that literally spent 10 seconds looking for the fridge before telling me, "Nope, nothing for you."

I informed that castmember that I knew exactly when it was left, by whom and the name on the box and that it was waiting for me. I had to get a second castmember involved before the fridge was found. A 3rd castmember joined in and it magically appeared when they actually looked for it.

Don't take NO for an answer!

Just a quick note on looking for the fridge. I am from another swap and didn't get the fridge because the person before me left it at the wrong resort. The CM at Music were wonderful and had me go into the room with them to look for the fridge, there were 2 in there, but neither was the one I was looking for. It wasn't until 3 days later that someone got in touch with the previous swapper that I found out it was left at Music. Within hours it was over at Music, unfortunately it was going to the next swapper a day later.
So my advise is, if you can't find the fridge at its home resort, maybe it is at one of the other all stars. I don't know if they would track it down for you, I knew what resort to call, but maybe if you have a good CM.

Anyway sorry for rambling. Good luck to all swappers and please remember to follow the rules for your swap so noone else ends up like me.

I agree with the above poster. I was the one the fridge went missing on. I got a wonderful CM at Music who searched and searched for it. I gave her all the info I could think of: my name, my disboard name and that it should say "Save a Sinking Fridge" on the side. She coudn't find it and then called the other All Stars. They said it wasn't there either. Shen then gave me one of Disney's for free which was fabulous of her. Well it was at All Star Movies after all (which Gina can swear to) It was way to easy for them to say "Nope, not here" when you are on the phone with them.

I'm a little nervous as I never heard back from hugabearjo regarding if she got the fridge???

Hopefully Disneybug1995 got it OK yesterday and all is well.

Please note that after January 1, 2009 I would like to resign as swap leader. LOOKING for someone who would like to take over the position. I am currently running 2 swaps and have been running my original swap since May of 2007 and I am ready for a break. If no one is interested in running this swap, it may come to an end January 27 after the last swapper is done.
