Hello everyone! I was hoping you could give me some reassurance as to the boat transportation to MK. I was reading some reviews of WL on another site and three people recently said that the boat transports to MK had spiders in them I am sure that there will be bugs after all we are in the woods, but DD is terrified of spiders and I am hoping that they are not as bad as these reviewers made them seem; they made it sound like the boat was crawling with them I have taken the boat transports from YC to BW and have come in contact with bees an flies, but no spiders. Oh and we are going in December so not sure if the cooler weather will make a difference either

Ok...we usually go late Aug/early Sept and I am sorry to say but, the larger boats are loaded with them (spiders) around the windows. I think our 1 Oct. trip was worse. It is really my only complaint about the WL. I don't understand how not one CM can just swipe them away in between trips with a broom?? It doesn't stop us from staying there...it's the only place we stay. It doesn't stop us from taking the boats...we have never taken at bus to the MK. DH is very very weirded out by spiders, not to mention myself & DD, but we just stay away from the windows. Actually, DH is really afraid of spiders and never even mentions it, that's how much he LOVES WL. I think what you could do is stay away from the windows, try to get the uncovered front or back of the boat. Sorry to say something negative about WL but we love it there!

Just stopping by to say I Love WL! I wanted to stay at the resort when I saw it being built in 1989. I finally stayed for my honeymoon in 2002. We are staying at POR in a Royal Room next month for our 10th Anniversary and first trip with our twins. I hope to get back to WL in 2014!

pas130-you are so right... the Grand thread was very helpful when planning our trips there and because of the info on it helped us make the decision to change this trip

Very glad you hopped on over to the RC thread! I really think that the hostess (or hosts) on the threads set the tone. And GF and Wl are fantastic, but their hostesses make it even more enticing!!!!

DH can't believe you've kept this reservation? I can't either. Just think what a BIG surprise it'll be for DH when you actually drive-up to WL

I should totally mess with his head on the way...the ME bus does the whole Poly-GF-CR-WL loop.....hmmm. That wouldn't really shock him though....he does except another switch though. I just have no desire, I can feel myself at OFC!

I am sure there are a number of patients who think I am insane...luckily I have Mad Skillz

You are not being negative, you are being honest and I really appreciate it Believe me the spiders will not stop us from staying there or taking the boat, I just now know to stay clear of the windows...thanks so much for the tip

I did a little trip report as an FYI if you're interested in the 10 night stay we just finished. We had a spectacular time...I want to adopt Randy, the CL mgr into our family, and I just can't say enough about the WL. It was truly magical!!

Hi - what's the best way to get from WL to DHS by 7:30 a.m. (YES program starting at 7:45 outside the park by the flagpole). I read here that the first boat goes to MK at 6:45 a.m. Would we take this and then walk to CR and take a bus to DHS? Or is there a bus that leaves WL early enough to get to DHS? Taxi? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

You don't really notice them unless the lights are on and I guess I should have mentioned it's only at night-which is weird.

Its absolutely wonderful. We all felt like it was home. Praying for a good discount for April so we can do it again!
