Booked our 2013 trip today with our 1st time staying at WL CL (Dlx room)! We will be there Oct 15-20, 2013 for MNSSHP/F&W. Cant wait :)

Time to do lots of reading on this thread!

This time in 48 hours we will be on our way to the airport for our stay at WL CL and let me just say I am sooooo excited. This work week is going so slow..

Question are bouncebacks always in the rooms? Does anybody know when Star Wars weekends are next year, want to get my husband back for that
BBs are not always in the room. If one is not, it doesn't necessarily mean it's not being offered. You can still call the WDTC and ask, but you must do it BEFORE you check-out. Good luck!

You are going to love The Old Faithful Club, Debra - congratulations! Were you able to use a discount on a Deluxe room?

I think I may have made a bad ADR. We have a 7:35am Chef Mickey's in Nov. Is a cab my only way to get there from WL?

Booked today for March 2013! Opted for a regular standard view room instead of a 1BR villa. Can't wait to stay in the regular lodge as DS says! ;)

No discount as of yet. It would be nice to get one, but I'm not counting on it.

We are looking forward to Old Faithful Club! I have read so many good things about them. We are staying at BW CL in Dec, then will have this trip to look forward to for next year.

We've always taken the boat over, but I don't know what time they begin. I'm assuming it would be running at that time.

Nope, you made a great ADR. Just take the Blue Flag boat over to the CR. It starts operating around 0645-0700.

If you request an upper North Wing room, you can see some of Wishes;). Congratulations on booking and let the countdown begin!

Thanks Kook! That makes me feel a lot better! I didn't know they ran that early when MK doesn't open till 9.

You're welcome. The Red Flag boat that only goes to the MK doesn't start operating until about 30 minutes prior to park opening, but the Blue Flag boat starts operating at about 0645 everyday to the CR and FW.

We leave for our vacation in 18 days!!!

We are soooo excited!

We are staying OFC. Should I get anything from IPO before we arrive? Just wondering...

Thanks!

So they never contacted you by email or phone and you never contacted them? You can still initiate contact with them by emailing them with your confirmation number. Do you need them to make any recreation reservations or ADRs or confirm any room location requests? They can still do that now if you'd like. Otherwise, no, you won't receive anything from them other than they usually send a welcome email either shortly after you book or around the 180 ADR mark. Sometimes though they don't contact you first.

I hope you can report back to us on vacation!

Is MK walkable from CR or would the monorail be operating that early to get to MK?

There is a walkway from near the bus stop between the Tower and BLT. It only takes about 10 minutes to walk to the MK. The monorail doesn't start operating until about one hour prior to park opening and stops first at the TTC, the Poly, then the GF and finally, the MK. It is actually faster to walk to the MK rather than take the monorail. But, the monorail is so cool:worship:

Just wondering about the refurb. I see it should be done by end of September. We are heading there on 9/4 - 9/8 before our DCL cruise on the Fantasy!

We have a standard room booked - not sure how these factor into the North/South wing??

Thanks for the info!

Thank you so much. I experienced my first ever rope drop at DCA a week ago and would really like to do the rope drop at MK. I am so anxious for our trip to start. :hyper::hyper::hyper:

I booked our second stay at the WL during free dining this coming December. I specifically wanted the WL because we are going to see the Christmas decorations up at WDW for the first time. We've always gone in the August - October time frame in the past. I understand WL is done up really well for Christmas plus the WL theme just fits the holiday. Cannot wait - we're at 153 days and counting - I have all our ADRs and MVMCP tickets. I'm looking forward to seeing the The Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights at HS, too. DS, now 9, is thrilled (he was 5 during our last stay at the WL).

Kook,

I've been in touch and they helped with some in room delivery items (birthday cakes for my kids from Chef Brian at the CR!).

But I just didn't know if they send an email or paperwork a week or so before you arrive. I did all my own dining reservations so I didn't utilize those services.

But I really cannot wait and I will try to post from WDW when we get there. I won't be able to upload pics until we're back, but I can post on DISboards! :thumbsup2

Standard View rooms are in both the North and South Wings. The North Wing is closest to MK/CR and the South Wing overlooks VWL. When you are there (and currently) all of the North Wing rooms have been rehabbed. The upper North Wing SV rooms have a partial Wishes view. Some of the lower South Wing rooms might still be under construction when you're there, but all the mid-upper South Wing rooms should be completed.

Martin, WL is beautiful at Christmas and it really gets you in the spirit. Your trip sounds wonderful and your family is going to love seeing all the resorts decorated for Christmas. Do you homeschool? What ADRs have you booked?

Oh, I understand now. No, you won't receive anything else from them. Even if you made your own ADRs, they can still email your itinerary to you. Just give them the phone number you used for the ADRs.

So glad you'll keep in touch with us on your vacation:)

Carla, you made a great choice - congratulations:yay:. What view did you book? Did you make any requests?
