You'll be fine. It's scheduled to open a full month before that. Even if it's running a few days late it's not that behind. Already has water back in the main pool.

The Courtyard Pool Area Update -
It appears from everything I am reading and seeing that with approx 10 days to go before the "scheduled" re-opening of the Courtyard pool area along with the enhancements made to the immediate area including what appears to be (from a consensus) a new splash pad area that INDEED it does appear that this project should be completed ON TIME or if not, within a very few days of 11/27.

I know a lot of us are worried about the timing of all of this but I have faith that all of this will get done.

From my review of the pictures (although they are 1 week old today) and the scope of work, they really are getting down to almost the asthetics now as it should be mostly re-paving / structural work on the splash pad / general clean-up and getting the wooden walkway and Trout Bar back in order. As I have seen in previous posts, they are working on this 7 days a week and I am sure the GC (barring weather conditions0 has been given a strict re-open date on this project.

I feel very confident that this will be done before 11/30 for sure.

I would add that some a new update of pictures would certainly help relieve some of the anxiety of the readers on this post.

Be confident folks, your WDW trip means more to you and your family than the pool being done. Remember, the memories, attitude, happiness (to a great degree) is all dependant on you. IT WILL BE OK.....

Thank you so much WDWKOOK for the warm welcome. Yes, our stay is for 2014. Just 15 days away! We can not wait! I think I am more excited than my kids. Decemeber 2 -7 CL WL!! Here we come!! Im so excited, but I am a little worried about being pregnant and tired constantly- but I will take your advice to rest up at OFC and put my feet up. I really love the warmth and knowledge on this board. Can't wait to see final pool pics! Thanks again for the welcome!

We will be there Nov29-Dec 4. Thinking about upgrading to CL. Is it worth it? I know there's been so many discussions. We usually stay CL on the Dream. Is it the same???

Does anyone have a recommendation for the deluxe rooms at WL? We want to be closer to the elevator and the club level, so it'll be easier to stop by for snacking.

Does anyone have any experience with calling a van taxi? Do they come with car seats? And are they readily available?

Such a great positive outlook on this. We are so excited. This is our first deluxe stay in over 14 years so we are so ready for this stay and for everything to be completed before we check in on the 16th of December. I am sure it will be a trip full of memories and fun. Counting down days now!!

I posted a picture of the update on the pool as of AM this morning earlier, did it come through?

I did just get some neat information. Not sure if this was already listed but a CM told me that the playground area will have a brother bear theme. It also looks like something is happening with the pool bar.

Ill try to get more pics in the morning, any other picture requests?

The photo URL has to be publically viewable. If I navigate to https://plus.google.com/u/0/photos/...6082803212354007586&oid=102600332593426813772 -- it prompts to sign into Google to view . Sign out of Google then navigate to the url yourself and you'll see the same thing. Should be a way to share the photo itself publically, then it will work.

Hi All,

We will be staying at the Wilderness Lodge from Nov. 29th to Dec. 4th.

We originally booked a Woods View room but due to adding an extra day to the reservation, we had to switch to a courtyard view.

We have an infant and a toddler and would like a room with an exciting view but limited amount of noise in the evening. Do you guys have any recommendations for a room request?

the pool is vinyl?? I'm pretty sure its gunite or concrete? but the other post is probably correct, its grids for the life guards
