Bah humbug! Checked weather today and on Dec 2, 80% chance of rain. Hoping it changes! But what do they do for MVMCP if it rains? Anything cancelled?

Way too far away to forecast rain. Don't even trouble yourself to look this far away. Maybe 48 hours start to check.

Thanks! I'm keeping my fingers crossed it changes before then. 10 days until we leave!

We keep checking the forecast too!!! Packing for spring/fall/winter weather, as we always do!!!! You never know what to expect once your down there!!!

See you there! 6 Days for us!!!!!

Want to go 12/6-12/13 of 2015. Having such a hard time finding a private renter (looked on FB, ***********, etc.), but am on a "list" with a rental store for January.

Should I just go ahead and book through the WDW site for a "regular" room so I know I have it or try to hold out for a 1br Villa? Are the villas that much bigger, nicer, even worth it??

Never been to the resort so I'm clueless.

Just an FYI, 2 adults, 2 kids (6,3)

Any insight is appreciated:confused3

Are you too early to know what will be available 13 months from now? I thought DVC couldn't book till 10 months out, though I fully admit I don't keep up with DVC rules that well. We've never felt the need for the extra space so I'm always good with regular rooms. And I am sure not going to cook or do laundry on vacation ;)

DVC owners can book at their home resort at 11 months ahead. They can book at other resorts at 7 months ahead.

Here now. Still no tree as of 11/19 am.
It is cold here though! Really hoping it actually hits 60 today. Yesterday was supposed to be mid 50s but at most got to 49 while we were in AK. Brrrr...

I brought mom over to visit the "treeless" WL and she loved the resort. We had lunch at RF too.

Last night poly got decorated if you want to pop over to see it.

Mom went to CL lounge for coffee and found that tree :goodvibes:santa:

Lobby is also decorated at GCH.

Just had a hot shower and having a glass of wine. That should defrost me::yes::

So can someone rent points now for a trip 13 months away? Or do they need to wait till 11 months out?

The resort can't be booked 13 months ahead, but what they can do is find an owner of the resort they want. They could have an agreement to get something booked at 11 months.

Looks like there will be quite a few of us at WL the first week of December! I'm taking DS21 with me for my birthday trip Dec. 1 (my b-day) - 3. Short trip, but will be doing CP on Dec. 1, MVMCP on Dec. 2, and checking out monorail resorts during that time as well. Can't wait to see everything all decked out for Christmas! We have been to WDW after Christmas (typically NYE), but never before. And, first time staying at WL, although we have visited a few times in the past to eat at Artist Point. Can't wait!!! :santa:

You should pop on over to the DVC boards on DIS...they are a helpful crew...also, *********** is a good board as well...we rented points last year for AKL Kidani...went very smoothly... Also David's Vacation Club is a good resource and broker for DVC points... As a PP mentioned, 11 months out is the earliest that can be booked.

Yup, been on there too. January is my 11 month mark so I will probably end up with a regular room.

Woohoo! I was able to get another night added to my parents stay in the Villas! :yay:

I love WL and I am so excited that my parents are going to be able to spend three nights there now instead of two. It means being able to relax and enjoy the resort more with them :)

So can someone rent points now for a trip 13 months away? Or do they need to wait till 11 months out?

As was mentioned if someone wants a popular time they probably want to have their rental or agreement established before the 11 month mark so that the owner can make the reservation as soon as the booking window opens.

FWIW, for both October 2014 and December 2014, I was able to reserve a BLT one bedroom standard view at 11 months out, via a cash reservation with Disney (not renting points). With villas, for whatever reason, the trick is to look for cash reservations 11 months from your check OUT date. We ended up moving our October trip to December (hence booking rooms for both October and December) and then ended up switching to VWL from BLT when the December RO discounts came out this summer and BLT was excluded. So I was able to book a 1 bedroom villa, at VWL, during one of the busiest DVC times at about 6 months out. For the villas, the cash reservation inventory is kept separate from the points reservation inventory and it is possible to pick up a reservation by paying cash even if the same reservation wouldn't be available to rent with points. No villas will be available to be rented prior to 11 months out (either cash or points), but just because you can't find someone to rent from doesn't mean you'll be excluded from a villa if you're willing to pay cash. With the RO discount, our 1 bedroom villa at VWL will only cost us a couple of hundred dollars more than it cost us to rent points for a stay at the same place last year.
