Carolwood Pacific Room blog The "train room" at VWL.
Fun! DH went over there on our last trip. He found it fascinating.

ALL CL rooms have closed off balconies (except for the Deluxe ones located on different floors). It was the only thing I hated about CL at WL.
Touring Plans.com has a room locator. That can help you determine #1, where the bunk bed rooms are and #2, how many there are in CL so you can see what your odds of getting one are. I used to to check the King bed numbers (very small!) so I know if it's worth even asking about one. Since I know I prefer location of our room over King bed I'm not bothering.

Didn't know about room credit, but we were just there last week and asked about Waterpark pass (good for BB or TL) and they said to ask Concierge. Concierge said, oh, you want to buy water park tickets (playing it off, to see if we knew about the complimentary tickets)? I said I was asking about complimentary water park passes. She said, OK, scanned my band and said they would be added to my MDE account. When I checked, they were there. We never used them (not intentionally), so a little bonus for the spring assuming they don't expire (doesn't state an expiration online). We leave Saturday, but don't check into WL until next Thursday. I'm sure this has been answered a bunch, but I didn't see an answer in a quick skim of the last few pages... Are the BB tickets, or $50 room credit something they give you automatically, or do you have to ask for it at checkin?
Quick Update: Arrived, via ME, to the Lodge around 2PM today. We had requested a lobby room 5th floor or higher (we booked a standard room but hoped for a woods upgrade). CM greeted me at the the entrance and whisked me away to the 7th floor. She stated that we had been upgraded to Club Level! I was concerned because we have two reservations but they blocked our room so we get Club Level the entire stay without having to move! Can you say pixie dust?! Received our tickets for Hoop Dee Doo tonight and will, hopefully, be Flag Family on Friday! I wanted to hit up WCC for lunch but they had just closed. Ran down to Roaring Fork and ran into an old friend. Came back to the room with a complementary Halloween cupcake! The pixie dust is raining down! Of course, I'm somewhat concerned since things are going so well, that the pixie dust will dry up before we leave. Either way, I am soaking it up while I can! So far, a fantastic first trip to the Lodge!!
You have to ask for them. They will not give them to you unless you ask. Some of the CMs will give you a little argument about it, but in the end they will give you a credit for $50 per day plus the BB passes. We leave Saturday, but don't check into WL until next Thursday. I'm sure this has been answered a bunch, but I didn't see an answer in a quick skim of the last few pages... No you can notQuestion: CL Cast Members, can you tip them?
I go for a two bedroom villa. We had four adults and a two bedroom and it was wonderful. I think you would be crowded with two full sized adults and three nearly full sized adults.
With the deluxe room club level at least everyone would get a real bed. You'd have one queen bed, one double sleeper sofa and that funky little murphy bed in the studio.
We were able to be flag family 2 of our last four trips to the WL over the past 5 years. Both times we were treated to the club level free breakfast spread upon finishing our flag family duties. Fantastic experience for the family. The second time we were flag family they told us to cancel any breakfast that we might have planned because for fulfilling our flag family duty ended with a breakfast reward.
