I'm guessing the waterfall is still behind scrims since no one has reported otherwise? Also, on one of the WL pool threads, someone said the brook in the lobby was going away like the Poly waterfall. Is that true, or reported here somewhere, or a rumor only? I asked about it on that thread, but don't think there was a response.

I hope someone has an answer for you. We check in tomorrow and I'd love to know what to expect. I guess in the end, I just feel blessed that we missed the pool construction. I'll miss the stream but it's a small thing. Still, I'd love to know what to expect.

Here now, watching them work, if that's what you want to call it. One man has a towel, and bucket walking the stream, tap, tap, blot each rock, ring out towel and then move to next. Or you have one supervisor with a clipboard and a piece of paper he keeps flipping. Absolutely zero work actually being done
Oh, one guy on a man lift painting boulders, can you say overspray. Point gun 4foot above rock and shoot. I know the effect he's going for, but really, you don't have to aim that high. Lol
Maybe they'll finish today

I really hope that the waterfall is uncovered before we arrive on August 10th. Grumpy family member have already told me that it better be or they will be very upset (like I can control how fast the workers work :sad2:)because we paid extra for the courtyard view and this has already happened once in the past. Updates on the progress are greatly appreciated.

We arrive on the 9th and we're also hoping it'll be done. The way it's going as reported by 454RAT, it's going to be close . Thanks for the updates too.

A previous poster had reported that the stream was being refilled a few days ago, can you confirm that?

They just now turned on the hose to fill the bottom pond, everything looks ready to start!!!
The blotting of the rocks looked to be the final stage before turning it back on!

Oops! Inspector didn't like the rocks, making them do it agian!! Really though, I think they're going to start it today. You can tell this is the final sweep before start up

Awesome news! :thumbsup2 Thank you too!!

It's all hands on deck now! Even the inspector has a broom sweeping! He's got everybody cleaning!

Since I have no clue about WL other than our upcoming stay - this stream has nothing to do with the main pool closing on 9/3 does it?? Wondering if that's still on schedule to close on 9/3 or close sooner/later than expected?

This inspector is good, he's leaving no stone unturned! Lol! Sorry I couldn't resist! Rode the jungle cruise last night!
If you want something done you have to stand over them and point to each and every stone you want clean!

Hey folks,

I cannot believe I don't remember this, but can someone help me with the time it takes to get to MK from WL?

To get there for rope drop, what time do we need to be at the boat launch or the bus stop?

Thanks! ONE MORE DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Woo Hoo! We are so hoping for it to all be back up and running for our first WL experience on Friday. :) What is the state of the beginning of the brook in the lobby?

The bus is the quickest...once on the bus, it's less than 5 mins from WL bus stop to MK drop-off. Off course you have to wait for the bus first. If you want to see the opening skit and be near the front of the line, you'd want to leave by 8am but can push that to 8:30 to make it before the gates actually open.

The boat will take longer. Like 10 minutes once you cast off. We usually shoot for 8am in line for the boat. In 2010 it was usually not there when we arrived or we just missed it. There were always enough people waiting that I wasn't confident we'd make the first boat. So we watched for the CR boat. When it came we jumped in that line and were whisked to CR (make sure it's not going to FW first). From CR it's a 5 minute walk to MK.

However, note that due to popularity of 7DMT and A&E, the summer rope drop show has been starting earlier, with entry as early as 8:40. So allow extra time if that is important to you.

Good point on 7DMT...we weren't really planning to ride (had already ridden before with a FP+) but since we were there for rope drop we figured what the heck, might as well try (and gates did open early). So we walked straight to 7DMT, got there at 9:01 by my watch and the line was already out of the queue and wrapping around with the Standby-By wait already pegged at 60mins. This was back on Sunday 6-16. We had a laugh and walked over to Space Mountain and walked on it twice in the span of 15 minutes.

If you want 7DMT you better either have a FP+ (though last I heard they are all gone through August, probably worse now) or get to the gates before 8am.

That is where all the work is being concentrated on now, just outside the glass wall

Thanks we are planning to hit 7DMT on the morning with the extra magic hour. We will make sure to get there extra, extra early that day!
