You might want to have the CM link your reservations, if you haven't already done so. I think this will help to put your rooms near each other. Thank you for your kind comments:) :thumbsup2 You're welcome. How exciting! What a great graduation trip you're all going to have. Is Luke thinking of ever doing the DCP? There isn't a pool-side refill station at VWL/WL. Isn't it crazy?! Is it like this every June? This will be our first June visit, as we usually visit in July/August in the summer. We're not even there during SWW and I keep looking to get an idea of resort capacity while we're there and you're right, almost every Deluxe is completely full. I feel very lucky to have two room-only reservations at Deluxes, but I'm a bit worried about how crazy it will be at the resort. We're used to having the beach to ourselves and finding a seat quickly at TL. It doesn't look like this will be the case one month from now:worried: But, keep checking daily for availability for your DS. I've noticed that it has been changing daily, at least when we're there 6/23 - 7/3. One day there will be nothing at WL, and the next a SV room will open up. CR, GF and YC have been pretty consistently full, but AKL, BC, BWI and Poly have rooms. People cancel and make changes all the time, so don't give up. In a pinch, could your DS stay at FW? You're right, RF is just steps from the WL pool and it's the only refill location at WL/VWL.

Thank you! We did that last night actually! It makes it that much more fun! We are going to get together on our 60th day to do FP+ picks! lol looking forward to everything that's left!

Without a chip, resort refillable mugs were only good for use during the stay in which they were purchased. With a chip, they can be re-activated, but at no cost savings, so best to purchase a new one. HERE is more information of the new Rapid Refill mugs.

I only drink coffee so will I be able to use my old mug for that?

No, because the old mugs were only good for use during the stay in which they were purchased and the Rapid Fill mugs replaced the Refillable Mugs in late 2013.

Hi friend  I was just on the GF thread and had to pop back on here before I price out an OFC/RPC split :lmao:

Speaking of the resorts being booked up, I find this to be true for a lot of the summer...maybe the deluxes are booked secondary to room closures at the Poly? Plus TAs having blocks of rooms? Crowds always make me nervous :confused3 Your trip will be fantabulous!:cloud9:

Poor Janetb is the only one at Poly in August. Yeah, I really do not like the GF refurb...it's nice but it's what I expect from Portofino Bay or somewhere not Disney..and the price...yeah for 3 nights there I have 7 nights OFC. Did I check, of course...not available. DH doesn't want GF...and I want OFC, I know I LOVE it and it is worth it! Yesterday, I needed to make an ADR change and I sent an email, they called me within 10 minutes!!!

Poly rooms are awesome, but you know how construction walls make me sad....and no Volcano pool, I just can't do it. That's totally my opinion though. An empty resort would be very peaceful even with cranes :rotfl:

Now now no more of this talk of changing!!! It's WL this trip for you!!!

What is OFC?

Thank-you, I was racking my brain.
I'm glad you asked because I'm sure others would like to know. There are so many DIS acronyms that it's easy to get a little lost in them. I always worry that when I use "TL" here someone will think I'm referring to Typhoon Lagoon when I'm referring to Territory Lounge.

Just a general reminder to everyone: I don't want anyone to feel like they're reading a foreign language here, so feel free to ask about anything. Most likely, others have the same question and will benefit. (Can you tell I was a teacher?)

So I've officially jumped ship from the Poly to the Wl!! )I'm currently on my way to Seattle, so it all seems very appropriate)the intensity of the construction at the Poly was just becoming too much. We're going to be celebrating my guys 30th birthday and he's a real outdoorsman. I know he's going to love the WL!! Well be doing a split stay, starting at the beach club aug 24-26, and then checking in to the WL aug 26-31! I'm so excited!

Someone asked a while back about Halloween activities. I stumbled across a CR/BLT activity calendar for Halloween and there are Halloween activities, such as Trick-or-Treating and costume contests, mostly between 4-7.

Howdy and welcome aboard! Lots of fun stuff to do at both WL and FW. The Recreation and Activities sections of the thread has information and feel free to ask questions. I'll log your dates.

Hello back at you!!!
You never have tickers so I can't keep up with your trips. Is WL somewhere in there? What do you have booked at WDW?

My trips are always so crazy that doing a ticker is ugh! Here goes:

Aug 16-22 CSR
Aug 22-25 YC
Aug 25-29 POR
Aug 29-31 CSR

Dec 3-7 Homeless (hope to talk some RC ladies into WL)
Dec 7-14 Sheraton Vistana Resort
Dec 14 Homeless again!

April/May 2015 I'll be there just don't know where or when!

Last week we spent 4 nights at Universal then over to Ormond Beach for a week. We fly home tomorrow.

::yes:::scared1:
I'd love to know if this is how it always is in June. We've always avoided June because all the schools in the south are out so we assumed it was busier. We usually go in the summer when schools in the south are back in session. When I've looked for availability during July/August and even Christmas, right before our arrival, they've never been full. Even though we have ADRs, FP+s and don't need the pools much, I'm really worried about the crowd-level. What are your dates?

Dearest Kook,

We've gone in mid June, late July and early August. I really don't think there is much difference in crowds during that time frame. Crowded, yes. Manageable, absolutely (especially with OFC). The beach... I have never seen more than a couple of folks at the WL beach so hope you get lucky there.

:flower3:

I have brought my older mug to use but I drink water. The RIFD machines will dispense ice and water without a chip.

Thank goodness for that!

Pool bar? WL has a pool bar?

Sent from my iPad using DISBoards

Yep! Please refer to the (almost) famous Long Island Iced Tea that 'someone' enjoyed shown below.:rolleyes1

:dance3:

Thank goodness for that!

Yep I'd have been bummed if I couldn't have just refiled Ice and water at will. I rarely drink soda since I prefer water, and I drink ice coffee for the most part so i could chew up a huge part of my budget on water otherwise.

The hot water is also not RFID driven so you can do SB's Via coffe or your tea bags in a mug as well.

In fact in March I carried my refillable water bottle and refilled ice and water at the food court and park CS locations at will. It was nice not to have to ask for a water cup at the counters.

This is our first stay at WL, in September this year. What kinds of breakfast do the restaurants offer at WL. We like to have a big breakfast and snack throughout the day and enjoy a nice sit down supper. Also, is there any breakfast buffets offered in any of the restaurants? Does this count as a table service? Even if it does, I'm thinking it would be cheaper to purchase breakfast out of pocket and use our dining plan in the evenings. Thanks for the feedback!

Would this count as a sit down meal? Even so, I think it would be better to pay out of pocket for breakfast and use our DP for suppers. Thoughts?

So if I understand this correctly, I can use my older mug just for ice & water? Does that apply for coffee too because I don't drink soda? DH, DS 14 & DS 12 will purchase a mug!

Roaring Forks has a typical counter service breakfast. Whispering Canyon Cafe has a nice table service breakfast. Our favorite breakfast buffet is at Trail's End at Fort Wilderness. It is fairly low-priced, too, considering all the food you get. We like to walk over there, a nice 20 minute or so walk. But you can take a boat, too. The Contemporary has a nice breakfast buffet at the Wave Restaurant, although we haven't tried it yet.
