I hope someone can know this, in the dining post it states that they do have Mickey waffles at Roaring Forks, but I don´t see them in the allearsnet menu. We were there in september, but, for the life of me, I can´t remember this.

TIA

Julie

Sure do, in a few different styles. I remember bananas foster and chocolate chip but can't remember the third ( I think strawberry) they have regular too. Super yummy and gluten free is an option for allergy.

Hi All...

New DISer here and first timer to WL.

I toured WL the last time I was at WDW in 2011 (I know WAY too long) and knew I had to stay there next time. Well next time is finally here! Heading there in 70 days (6/9 - 6/16) with DW, DD and DD's friend. Also first time taking a friend and a teenager at that, both are 15. We also just found out it will be extra special as DD's friend will be moving at the end of June to Seattle (from DFW) so this will be a great way for them to create some lasting memories.

One question though. How good is WL in meeting room requests? We've booked Woods View with Bunk Beds and I know there aren't too many Bunk Bed rooms so what's the chances of getting something on upper floors with an Otter Pond view and no connecting door?

Thanks for the help!

Welcome! There is so much great info on the DIS, and this thread in particular.

In our experience, the room assignors do their best to meet your requests, but naturally the more you have the less likely they will all be met. In your case, I think the most difficult will be the no connecting door. If I were you, I would decide how important that was, and choose to request either that or the North wing, because it isn't very common to have a non connecting bunk, but those that I know of are on the South side. Don't worry too much though, there is something great about all the rooms at WL, and you should have a great time.

Yep, Strawberry is the third option, and our favorite. They don't show up on the menu because they are at a different counter than the breakfast platters. It is the one on the left as you walk toward the food counters (the one closest to the drink machines). Enjoy!

Hi There,
Can anyone tell me if the store at the Lodge sells a milk alternative? Do you know what it is? What about bread?
Only 33 days to go!
Thanks!

Staying here 11/17-11/22, for my "midway through my 40s" birthday and the FIRST time I have every been able to travel after Nov 1 (I worked in retail 26 years), so our first Christmas-ey visit. First WL visit!!! 2005 Pop/2006 POFQ/ 2009 & 2012 ASMo ( 1992 I went to GF with my parents and 2011 we went to Disneyland Paradise Pier). Sooooo excited!!!! My husband and 2 kids have all celebrated birthdays at WDW, now it is my turn! I picked WL and my daughter (college aged) is NOT thrilled with the choice, but I am sure we will be happy.

Hello, If anyone is at the WL now can you tell me how many electrical outlets there are in the room by the beds? I am looking to see how easy/hard it will be for 2 CPAP machines to be plugged in. Wondering if we will need 2 extension cords or not. Thank you!!

We are here now and there are four outlets at the bedside table and two more at the small sitting table.

Hello all! Been watching the thread and trying to fill the time until our Sept trip to WL. Appreciate all the good info and pics to help keep me satisfied as the time slooooooowly rolls by.

Wanted to ask: trying to find the perfect (i.e. easiest) meal to have DD's birthday cake presented. We have a dinner ADR at WC and I was thinking that would be a good choice since we can just take any leftovers up to our room. Also thought the fun atmosphere of WC would add to the fun. Thoughts/Opinions?

This totally makes my day as I have been dying for bananas foster and am gluten intolerant so knowing I can get a GF option is AWESOME!!! :cheer2:

I HAD 2 mini cakes delivered to WCC for my girls' early birthday celebrations last September. I ordered them from the contemporary, see the cake chatter board on here. Price wAd a little high, but only birthday trip my girls would get. I kindly reminded our server quietly about the cakes. He brought them out after we ate and they had candles in them. My girls were Turing 9 & 6, so they made them party hats out of coffee filters and napkins and they announced their celebrations.

Hi All! This Saturday is the big day! We'll be @ WL for the first time! Quick question: are there swim vests and towels available at the pool? I thought so, but just double checking!

Thanks!

Mcdopey73 - we were there last summer and they had towels available at both pools and swim vests were available where you rent boats/bicycles. The stand is between the Villas and main lodge.

Enjoy your trip!

Hello All -

I know I could / should post this question on a different thread since it's not about WL directly, but I feel like I've gotten to know some people here and trust their advice. I have a room-only reservation and plan to purchase tickets soon in order to be able to make FP+ reservations on May 21. I was planning to buy the tickets through UCT since it will save me about $140 but I've never done this before and wanted to see if anyone had any feedback /advice. I want to make sure that there will not be any issues linking this ticket to the MDE reservation and my MagicBand. I would prefer not to have to stop at any desks on my first day to "exchange" tickets. We are already paying a ton for this vacation so another $140 to keep things in the world of Disney is not really that big of a deal in the long run. TIA!

During low season, I was able to get a life vest for the pool from the lifeguards. They are 1st come first serve I think. We are going in June this time, so thinking about packing our own just to be safe.

I had no trouble at all linking my dd's 7 day ph from UT.

The Chip and Dale campfire is at the Meadows area in the middle of Fort Wilderness, which is about half a mile from the stables and marina area. You can hop on an internal FW bus though and it is a pretty quick trip. We have never done the walk to the Meadows, but enjoy the walk between WL and FW.

Thank you for this information! We will have a car..would it be worth it to load kids up and drive, or take the bus?

Sorry for all the pesky questions! I tend to overplan....

If you drove you would have to park at the South end of FW and still take a bus to the campfire. I would recommend taking a boat over and then hopping on an internal FW bus.

And don't worry about the questions and overplanning, don't we all do that here?

My DS is a huge UP fan and DW let the cat out of the bag and told him we're staying at WL in Aug. To commemorate, I finally made my countdown signature.
