Does any know how many points I would need to rent for a 10 night stay at bay lake tower?

I guessed this was for your September 2014 trip? Here's what the points would be...

Studio
Standard view 146
Lake view 176
Theme park view 202

1 bedroom
Standard view 278
Lake view 325
Theme park view 391

2 bedroom
Standard view 391
Lake view 424
Theme park view 527

These totals may vary by a few points depending on how many weekend nights vs. weekday nights you plan to stay. And if you want standard view or TPV, don't hesitate. Those go very quickly (and may already be gone for your dates).

Just made a reservation for Nov 16-21!!!single bedroom at BLT! Super excited to be so close to the MK!

The next time I post will be from WL! I will try to get some festive CR photos soon. No fighting (or parties) while I'm gone...

Merry Christmas and enjoy!

Just made a reservation for Nov 16-21!!!single bedroom at BLT! Super excited to be so close to the MK!

We just booked our first trip ever over Thanksgiving, November 22-28, 2014, studio at BLT. Looking for any advice on going during a holiday?

Yay! I get to try another resort and it's CR :)

DH was assigned a January vacation instead of our June request, isn't lower seniority grand ;), so we put a silver lining on it by planning a WDW vacation. At first we chose Poly CL but I really wanted to try CR. Finally, a TPV came available for the winter discount and we switched!

I've really enjoyed the thread and the hints. We have 3 elementary kids and I feel like the TPV experience will be awesome for them (and me!), as well as the quick access to MK.

We'll be there the 14th - 19th. Good timing for monorail usage! We're driving for the first time, too. Although DH has NO desire to use our vehicle while we're there, I believe that driving our van to AK and DHS might be time savers. Is that correct? CR shares buses to those parks, right?

Yes it would save time. Sometimes we have had to wait a bit for bus to AK or DHS and then the bus has to go and make a pick up at Poly before going to the parks. And you may want to drive if you plan on going to a morning extra magic hour at Epcot. When we used the monorail for it we had to wait a while for the monorail from the TTC to Epcot (they hadn't started it yet?). So by the time we got there it was after 8.

Thank you. I remember, now, that the EPCOT monorail starts later. I goofed and used it for an early Akershus ADR on our first trip. I was a little frantic!
We have a YES class at 8:30 one day. Driving over will keep me from freaking out over being late or worrying about a monorail break down.

Well, it's been great chatting with you all here, but we can be removed from the Log-o-rail. Our traveling party has shrunken significantly - originally 11 total in a 1 BR and 2 BR at BLT, then just 7 all in the 2 BR. Now we're down to 5 - 3 adults and 2 children. The 2 BR is too much now and those darned 1 BR's just don't work well because of the King bed. So wish they'd have 2 queens, at least in some of them. After much thought, though, we decided to switch back to the Polynesian (2 rooms) which is our Disney "home". I was still somewhat ambivalent about not staying there anyways, and now it seems the pool refurb has been put off to May. Add that to the monorail closures and the ability to walk to the TTC for the Epcot monorail and/or MK ferry....we knew the Poly was right for us again.

Thanks for you hospitality here!

Wohooooo! Our wait list came through :)
We are now BLT with MKV Jan 9-12th for the marathon weekend and my first ever 10K! :)

Enjoy your return to the Poly! I'm sure you'll love it there. But, sometime down the road, you might want to try out a 2BR Villa. We only have four in our family---two parents and two teens---but we've long considered a 2BR to be the smallest we're willing to live with. We did connecting rooms (one K, one 2Q) at the Sequoia Lodge at Disneyland Paris this summer, and while it was fine, it just wasn't as nice as a 2BR unit.

Thanks, I definitely hear you! We always get a 2 BR condo at the beach now, and that's just the 4 of us. 2 BR at BLT was just too expensive split 2 ways (not equally) rather than 3 ways. We did consider a 2 BR at OKW as that is much more affordable and I like the theming. But, what we know we love won out! At least with the 2 rooms, we'll have 2 bathrooms which will be nice. I think the only thing I'll be disappointed about is not having the laundry. We've never had it before at Disney, and I love having it at the beach. Love coming home with no laundry to do! But, we're used to it and it will be fine. The other pros definitely outweigh that con for us.

Merry Christmas! We were blessed with a magical CL upgrade at WL! It has been the most wonderful Christmas present.

Wishes is starting now and the EWP ended a short while ago here at WL, but is on its way to CR now. Today we went horseback riding and it was in the 70s. Our dinner tonight at CA Grill was disappointing. But, I didn't have high expectations since the recent reviews have been mixed. I think the time has finally come that we won't be returning. I'll get into more detail after vacation. Here are some photos from today and yesterday:

I have just seen this from a link on another thread. I have not read through all the pages(!) but based on the links at the start thought I would ask if you needed any grand villa pics posting as there wasn't a link to this? I have some that I could post if you needed them.

We are planning on a split stay between AKV and BLT! We need a HC room with a roll in shower for DD. My question is if we stay in a 1 bedroom with a roll in, will we have a tub in the master? Last trip I missed my baths as we stayed in studios. :goodvibes

I don't know the answer to your question but we are doing the exact same split next year and I can't wait!!

How many adults and children can you fit in a 2 bedroom at BLT without additional fees. Thanks.

Nine, plus one under the age of three. If it is dedicated, it will have one king, two queens, one queen sleeper sofa and one twin sleeper chair. If it is a lockoff, you'll have one king, one queen, one queen sleeper sofa, one double sleeper sofa and one twin sleeper chair. Plus a pack and play.

There are no additional fees because you can't put any more than nine plus one under the age of three. If you have more than one under the age of three, only one won't count in the nine occupants.

Jambo House only has a combination shower/tub in the one bedroom. Kidani Village has a separate tub and shower in the master and the combo in the extra bathroom. BLT has the separate tub and shower and the combo in the extra bathroom. I'm not sure where the roll in shower will be.
