princessap - I booked with David's. They didn't have a BLT member right away with points for the 11 month mark but 2 days later they found someone. I am on a wait list for the second part if our stay at BCV until they can get someone with enough points to book this early. Have you tried them?

We will be checking into the CR on 2/22/14, and I can't wait! It will be our first stay in a monorail resort!

Whoo hoo :cool1: I am joining in! Just got our reservation booked (renting points) for standard view studio at BLT 9/21/14-9/25/14 (part of split stay). Excited to get to stay here, even though I still have 11 months to go :(

Congrats :yay:.....your trip will be here before you know it ::yes::.

Three more days! Woo Hoo!!:cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1::banana::banana::banana::yay:

:cool1::cool1:

My payoff day is tomorrow!!

It won't be long before you're on your way :goodvibes.

We just booked our first stay at BLT for 5/14/13-5/20/14 in a studio lake view. We are pretty new DVC members and are making our rounds to all the resorts. It's SO hard to decide where to stay but I'm psyched we landed on BLT for our May trip. We have 2 boys ( ages 3 and 4) so I think being on the monorail will be great!

You're going to love being on the monorail :thumbsup2. It's not only convenient for MK and Epcot, but it's close to a variety of dining options at the Poly and GF.

My family will be checking into Bay Lake Towers tomorrow!:cool1::cool1: So excited. Our plane leaves in 12 hours.:banana::banana:

Have a great trip :wizard:.

We have just booked a tower room for seven nights next August, are there any preferred locations / floors I should request? Have all the CR rooms now been refurbished? Its our first time at the CR, looking forward to it!

I can't help with location suggestions as we've never stayed at the CR, but wanted to say congrats on booking the CR :). We are hoping to try the CR next year.

We arrive in 11 days.:goodvibes

We always request a high floor away from Chef Mickey. This puts is away from the noise in the morning as we are NOT a rope drop family ;) And also closer to the MK! Our views have been amazing on both the TPV and BLV side.

can i asked who u booked with??? those are our dates and i want a one bedroom but no one can book till 7 months out :(

I just checked the Disney site for you and played around with some dates (I'm a pro at this after having to do it so much for our July trip next year.) As of right now, it looks like reservations with a check OUT date through September 22 are available. If your check out date is the 25, it looks like cash reservations should be open for you soon :thumbsup2

I posted this elsewhere but wanted to ask here too! i tried to make a reservation for veterans day weekend 2014 and was told that the ONLY rooms available are club level! Is it possible that the whole resort is sold out? What could cause that? I am so disappointed! There are rooms available at Poly and GF for my dates so what is going on at CR? I really wanted to try it this time :sad2: Help!!

CR is a convention resort, maybe there is one that weekend.:confused3

We'll be heading to CR for a short stay 1/22-1/25. Booked a BLV for 2 adults/2 kids. So excited. This will be my first deluxe resort. Celebrating my birthday a little late (Jan 8) and DHs a little early (Feb 19).

I did contact them but haven't been successful. And I know of someone else waiting with them for BLT in sept as well and no luck either and they wanted a 1 bedroom too. Am really hoping we can secure something soon! I am so excited to try BLT.

Good luck princessap!!! Mine was for a studio so smaller number of points which may be why it came through sooner. I'm sure you will get it though!

Thanks. Fingers crossed we do! I am so excited to try BLT. The cr is my dream place to try so am sooo excited!! Will be more excited when it is booked though!

Subscribing! I booked a studio at BLT for 9/2/14-9/6/14 through David's also! They got it just a couple of days after the 11 month mark!

Probably a silly question but....where can you see the Electrical water pageant?

If you have room on the Bay Lake side, from your balcony. Otherwise you can go down to the beach area to watch it.

I am surprised you have been successful with davids. I have a friend waiting to hear back about booking a one bedroom for next september and no luck.

Actually, they were the second company I contacted. The first didn't have points for a studio at BLT and suggested I wait until 7 months out, so I contacted David's right away and they had it within a couple of days. Maybe the studio is easier than a one bedroom? Good luck to your friend!

I'm contemplating changing to the contemporary from the poly due to the construction. Can someone tell me what are the pluses/minuses of BLT v. the garden rooms? What category of rooms is in the part where the monorail goes through? I see there is a big upcharge for BLT.

I have not been to WDW in 25 years (when I was a kid) and will be bringing a 5 yo and infant. We will come back to the room in the afternoon for naps/pool time.

One plus for you, you can walk to and from the MK and BLT (or CR). You can get the monorail at the CR to go to the TTC and catch another to Epcot. And the pool at BLT is fun for kids.

Just avoid a studio at BLT. They are very small. More suitable for a couple or a couple with one small child. Go with the one bedroom villa.

You'll need to head over to the CR (just take the overhead bridge) to dine if you don't use your own kitchen.
