Hi!

I'm booking club level standard room but want to make a request for a good view…can anyone help recommend good views? I don't necessarily mind boardwalk view…my only concern with boardwalk view is how loud are the boats? lol

THANKS SO MUCH IN ADVANCE! :)

I've never been bothered by noise from the Boardwalk. OTOH, avoid room 4202 which is a standard view of the gardens. I was bothered by some sort of utility noise (garbage truck? Delivery truck?) @ 7:45 a.m. on 2 different mornings last month.

This July we are staying standard but no CL this year and requested upper floor quiet pool view.

Last year we stayed CL and our requests were:
BW view-didn't get it (apparently there are very few of these rooms)
Away from Lounge- got a room around the corner from lounge with a gigantic tree in front of our balcony.

One trip to the desk and we were moved to a better room. It was 4206 and we loved it. Nice view of quiet pool.

This answer might not be fast enough, but I'm torn on the BWI CL views. The BWV itself is wonderful, but there are more "sounds" you'll hear with that view. You will hear the boat tooting beginning around 6:30 until well after midnight some nights. In some rooms, you will hear more of the Buskers' music, etc… There are also some rooms that come with "their own sounds," like I reported a couple of days back and others have reported.

The Garden View rooms are in a much quieter setting. Some rooms can have a view of Illuminations/the Eiffel Tower. There are views of the quiet pool area and gardens of the cottages, too that are lovely. For our next visit, I opted to request an "Epcot View" since it's in a more peaceful setting and I'm a very light sleeper. DH wears earplugs and can sleep through anything and DD is a teenager so you know how they can sleep:faint:

You all lured me over. I just made my reservation for the Boardwalk for November for Food & Wine. Never stayed there before. Excited! :woohoo:
Congratulations and welcome to the BWI/BWV thread!

Where to stay to be in the middle: close to the lobby, even walk to EPCOT & HS? Is there the perfect request? Oh, and water view!!:thumbsup2
Are you asking about BWI or BWV and what room category are you thinking of booking?

Question, My brother is going to be booking a standard view studio at the BWV. He would LOVE LOVE LOVE a view/glimpse of the Tower of Terror. Do you know of Any requests to get this view??? any Pictures??
Thanks!!

You can definitely see the Tower of Terror from many areas of BWV, but only ones that face the canal/boat waterway going towards DHS. The Standard views all face inward. Meaning -- no luck. Sorry. Of course you could always try explicitly requesting a TOT cure, and maybe he'll get lucky with a view upgrade, though upgrades are VERY rare on the villa side.

Ps -- this is a DVC booking or rental right? If it's a cash booking Standard View is really Pool/Garden view, where he would have a shot at the TOT areas.

I am finally staying at BWV!! :cool1:

I have booked (renting points) a Deluxe Studio with a pool/garden view from Dec 7th to the 12th. I am so excited to be there for the Christmas season. :goodvibes

I was wondering if there was any chance I would get to see either park from that area? And if so, when should I call to request a certain view? :confused3

I agree. After staying on the villa side for a while and having a boardwalk view (which we loved every time), I thought I would be disappointed. Nope, the total opposite. The Inn's gardens and quiet pool areas are so relaxing and peaceful.

We are hooked on this area now and can't wait to go back soon!

You can see TOT from the villas quiet pool rooms if you are facing that direction. You can also see EE in the distance from some of those rooms also. Not sure if you can see TOT from some of the feature pool rooms. Never stayed in that section.

I would call now and have them note it on your reservation. Not guaranteed of course, but worth noting. I would say upper floor TOT view quiet pool area.

Just stayed there in room 4018 we requested pool garden view and got view of the main pool and tower of terror!! Loved it

We will be arriving for our first stay at BWI one week from today! So excited. I have a couple questions for the experts though.

First, I didn't see any option for a pack & play or bed rail when I did online check in. Should I call to have these added or just wait until I arrive? We won't be checking in until 7:30pm at the earliest and I'm a little concerned they could be all used up by the time we get there.

Also, what is up with every room being booked at every deluxe resort while we are there? We booked a standard room with the thought we'd assess budget closer to the date and maybe upgrade after we get there maybe even to CL but not a single deluxe has a single room when I search online for the 8 nights we are there. Even when I drop a night and try to do a partial stay there is nothing.

I thought this wasn't supposed to be a crowded time of year? It hasn't been in the past when we've been there at least.

I understand that there is a cheerleading competition, a race at AK (I think Sat 5/3 everning) and on 5/2 at MK, there is the media event for the SDMT. This is in addition to the Flower & Garden Festival at EPCOT.

Our wait list request for a deluxe studio for early June just came through today. When we booked a short trip a few weeks ago to visit our daughter, it wasn't available, so we booked OKW. With Star Wars weekends, I wasn't hopeful that anything would open up.

Does anybody know if I already booked ME, they make the switch when a reservation changes or do I have to update our request?

This is a cash booking, so that is good to know! :thumbsup2:thumbsup2

We have transferred to BWV 1 bedroom with RCI. Just called RCI to find out what category unit I was in. He said that he didn't know but I was assigned unit 14F. I looked at the map that I have and surprise no 14F.

Does this 14F mean anything to anyone?

We will be traveling Nov 14-21.

I agree! Well, at least our family is divided on this issue, and my opinion is based on the purpose of our stay. I LOVE a boardwalk view. I love the sounds, the music, the activity, and even the honking Friendship Boats. Also, we've been able to see the MK fireworks in the distance from our boardwalk view rooms. We've requested a boardwalk view for all of our BWI CL stays, and I'm likely to request one again for January.

My husband, on the other hand, far prefers the garden view. For him, it's less Disney, more quiet and away from busy. As much as I love a boardwalk view, I appreciate these aspects of the garden view and the ability to watch and hear Illuminations from our room. I also now understand that our room assignment in February (no boardwalk view available, but they assigned us to a garden view 2-bedroom suite) could not have been more perfect for the nights leading up to the Princess Half Marathon.

All in all, I'll still take the boardwalk view, and I'll even risk it for the night before the full marathon in January!

A few photos of a garden view

And a boardwalk view - from two different rooms (not sure why some are so big!)

Nope, and they definitely wouldn't assign a specific unit this early. If you have the Disney confirmation number and try linking it online to My Disney Experience, maybe it will list a view category?
