Disney Patterned Paper Swap
Due Date 11/1/06

For this swap you will be making Page Kits using Patterned Papper and Bazzill (or other textured) Cardstock.

Paper - You will be using 1 or 2 different types of HIGH END patterned paper (Basic Grey, Chatterbox, Junkitz Ect.) Pick a pattern that makes you think of your character and matching Bazzill. This is a Disney Swap but you will not be using the Disney PP! You can use any of the Disney embellishments that are out but try to be creative when you pick your PP.

Elements - You will be making a Photomat, Journal Box and tag and two of the following....

Topper
Bottlecaps - 4pp
Song/poem or quote box
File folder
matchbook
library pocket
license plate
mini sign

Swap Info
1. No hand written lettering on ANY items. Please use the computer, stickers, rub one, ect.

2. Topper: Topper must be double matted and must be embellished .

3. Photomats: You will do 1 per person. The picture area must be no smaller than 4x6 and should also be double matted and embellished.

4. Journal Box: Should be double matted and embellished. The writing area should be no smaller than 3x4 but can be bigger.

5. Bottlecaps: You will do 4 per person and they must go with the theme. For example teacups can have Alice characters on the bottlecaps, Snow White can have dopey, doc , etc.


6. Tag: 1 PP for medium or large tags, 2 pp for smaller tags. Must be embellished and have an eyelet and ribbon/fiiber on them.

7. Song/Poem/Quote Box: Must be matted and embellished in some way.

8. License Plates: Must be matted and embellished in some way.

9. Pocket and Tag - embellished as needed

10. File Folders or Matchbooks - 1 PP if medium size or lager - 2 pp if mini sized. Must be embellished in some way.

11. Border - must be double matted and must be embellished in some way.



Mailing Details

1. Place each item into individual baggies with you name, screen name, group name and spot number.

2. Place the individual baggies into a large baggie with your name, screen name, group name and address.

3. Postage options
Include enough return postage to mail the swap back to you plus 2 extra stamps just in case. Any unused postage will be returned with your package. Include an envelope and address label to mail your items back in.

If you want them returned to you priority mail please include a $4.05 stamp and I will pick up an envelope for you.

If you are in all or more than 2 groups I would recommend shipping back to you with the flat rate priority box. Any weight, any state for $8.10. These boxes are big enough to get everything back to you quickly and safely.

* you can add .50 for delivery confirmation. We don't want any of you items getting lost after putting all the hard work into them. This is not a requirement but a suggestion. Please just let me know if you want it on your package.

Please send a return address label
No package will be returned without enough postage.

Please check in at least once a month so I know you are still around. I will post a month before the swap is due for everyone to check in. I’ll give everyone a week to do so, then send a PM to those not checked in. If I don’t hear back, I'll look for angels to fill your spots.


Please let me know the type of paper you will be using. This will allow us to math the paper later if we want to add to our kits!!

I am interested in this, but what?? LOL Is there another thread talking about this? Cos I don't understand, this is a Dis patterned paper swap but we're not to use patterned paper? Maybe it's just cos I am at work and my brain is slowly leaking out of my ears, but I don't get it, LOL. Then again, I have never done a page kit swap....HELP! LOL

I don't know if there is another thread like this one, this is jsut something I thought of a few days ago when I was in the LSS. You DO use patterned paper but not the Disney themed paper. Like for my Tinkerbell kits, I am using Making Making Memories PP and matching Bazzill. Does that make a little more sense??

Do you mean patterned paper like I can get from HobbyLobby or JoAnns in the single sheets and not the stuff from Walmart or Target in packages? If so, than I'd like Eeyore & Ariel and I'll let you know the paper names/numbers from the sheets I pick.

No, not the papers that come in packs, I am thinking more of the higher end papers like Rusty Pickle or American Crafts or Scrap Works. I think Hibby Lobby and JoAnns has them now and every LSS will have them.

By pattern paper, I mean papers like this.....

You will use one or two pieces of patterned paper and mathch it with Bazzill or other kind of textured cardstock.

For the mini signes, they are about 2X2 and usually double or triple matted and have one or two words on them. I'll post some examples a bit later. I am at my moms house this week so I am not on the computer much but I'll track some down and post the link!

Brer Patch characters would be fine! I think they would look cute with anything in Frontierland.

I am trying to keep with a theme for each group. You can do Mickey & friends in groups 1, and Tinkerbell and Peter Pan in group 4. Group 2 is Pooh Characters and 3 is Princesses but that group is filled unless everyone wants to do 5 kits unstead of 4.

Let me know if you want spots in 2 & 4 and I would be happy to add you!

I am confused. Do I pick paper that matches my character choice but not actual Disney paper?

I have you added for Goofy, thanks for joining. Your right, you will find a non Disney type paper and use that. What I found for my Tinkerbell is a patterned paper that is light purple and green with a pale yellow and is really close to the Disney Tinkerbell paper but at the same time it's very different.
