For the next swap its been decided that the Character Swap will start now (and those interested in the Cruise Swap it will launch in about 4 weeks hosted by the great nicki dahling )

For those familiar with the previous Scrap Swaps the rules will remain the same but for a review for the new swappers

How to Play-

1) Choose an element from either A or B or Both that you would like to make
(There will be 2 groups if you would like to participate in both groups it is encouraged and you will keep the same theme for both elements- think of it as double stuff!)

2) Choose a theme (Lets keep it to the more common characters because as much as we all love Kaa the snake he just isnt that popular)

3) once the swap is closed a final number will be posted- Make as many as needed of each of your elements (ie if there are 20 swappers you would need 20 toppers, 40 tags etc) the amounts per element are listed next to the element

4) Finish and then send it to me (you will recieve contact info when the swap is closed) *with* a return stamp (We've used priority stamps in the past and its worked well) by the specified date

5) Wait and then enjoy your plentiful new Scrap stuff for your books!

I would love to participate, but being a newbie, I might not really know if what I was making was the right thing or not. Could you post some pics of examples of what is acceptable? I have some ideas in my head for some things, but don't know if it will do for a swap. The little dresses I found at Dollar Tree got my mind going today about Cinderella and the other princesses, but I'm just not sure how I can work it into something for the swap.

Too many questions and doubts...I know.

I'd like to do journal boxes for group A and squares for group B. I was thinking of Mickey as a theme since he is everywhere and it can be used in a generic way. If you think we have too much Mickey, I'll do Tigger instead, doesn't matter to me.

One more question.....

Should I do all the same for the tags, or is it okay to do 10 Cinderella, 10 Snow White, 10 Sleeping Beauty, and 10 Ariel or Belle? I was wondering because of the colors I would use for these.

Aargh! I was hoping to get my stuff from this swap before the next one started so I could see if what I was thinking was the same as what was expected. I would love to do the character swap, can someone give me some guidance? How do you do squares or shakers or something with a character theme? I get Mickey and Pooh since there are punches out there, but the others? Are they in the colors of the character (like Donald would be yellow and blue?) What would you use to embellish it with?
