I just got off the phone with Maria. She is OK, alive and well. She just got back from Vacation yesterday and is trying to catch up with e-mail, phone calls, laundry, work etc. She is gathering everything up and mailing soon, if for some reason she can't get to the Post office I will drive up there and get it. She's only about 45 minutes to an hour from me so we can meet somewhere if need be. I couldn't hear her very well, DS11 and DH were pestering me so I also sent out a followup PM to her.

I, too, am really upset about this swap. I figured this would be late being returned to us, but I still thought all along that everything would eventually be returned. I just never understand why people can't stay in touch to communicate what's going on. I know I have those expectations because it's vital to my professional life, so I guess I hold everyone to those standards. That's one of the biggest things that irks me!

This swap really put me over the edge with being burnt out. The books were so time-consuming!! They didn't take an afternoon like we were told....I spent a good 12 hours on each book. That's 72 hours for me with this project. These weren't just individual swap elements, they were full books. The other thing that is difficult to handle is the amount of expense I put into all the various patterned paper and embellishments along with the money for the return postage.

Buffy, I appreciate all the time you've put in trying to get these moving, too. I know you don't have the extra time to do that, but I just wanted to say "Thanks". It's probably going to take more calls and e-mails because I don't think she's checking the DIS Boards.

I wish there was more I could do. Short of showing up on her doorstep (which I think would be kind of rude), there is not much else I can do at this point.

Buffy, I truely thank you from the bottom of my heart... I know you have 100 other things to do with your days.. and I hate that you are making these calls...
I too am very frustrated..and when I'm frustrated I have to back out and let the calm influences in my life (ie BUFFY) take the reigns... I'm a blonde w/ red in my hair...so I get fired up quickly... (yep, wouldn't think that from my CJ picture now would ya?~ Ask DH who is in the doghouse how fired up I can get!)
I'm just sorry that there has not been any communication..

As YM will tell you I stressed right along with her to get these done and out. I think I ended up sending a few days late because we hadn't heard from anyone... ...I hope we hear something soon...
