The only resort I can book in October is Disney's Beach Club Villas and that resort is sold out. I did check and there are Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort preferred location studios. Villas at Disney's Wilderness Lodge Resort has availability in a two bedroom from 9-18. I'm sure an owner will waitlist that one night for you.

We, as Disney Vacation Club owners, can waitlist nights we need. Often as we get closer to our checkin dates those waitlists will be filled with unused inventory due to cancellations.

Since you want Villas at Disney's Wilderness Lodge Resort you will need to find an owner there. Get him or her to reserve the nights available October 9-18 and waitlist the night of October 8. It will automatically be filled when the nights are available. I do this all the time, and with the lead time you are allowing, I do not see any problem with the waitlist being filled.

But just to be sure, what I do is I make a reservation at Disney's Old Key West in case that night does not show up. That way you are set for a room under any circumstances.

Right now, I want to reserve a two bedroom Theme Park View at Bay Lake Towers for October 5 and 6. It is not available. I set up a waitlist for those two nights at Bay Lake Towers and I also reserved a two bedroom villa for Oct 5 and 6 at Old Key West just in case. When/if my BLT waitlist is filled Disney will automatically cancel my OKW reservation and replace it with my new Bay Lake Towers Reservation.
