In any kind of online swap, you're putting your trust in a person you really don't know, and there's always the possibility that you'll end up disappointed. I will not be held responsible if someone "does you wrong" or even if unforeseen circumstances prevent an honest person from keeping his or her end of the deal. You may want to get a cell phone number of the person who is supposed to leave the fridge for you in case the item gets lost or mismarked. If you take the fridge to storage, always get the claim number from the person before you this will help locate the fridge.

Here are the swap guidelines:

1. Once your dates are confirmed, please contact the swapper before and after you to get full name on reservation, conf. number, arrival/departure dates, contact phone while at WDW

2. The Swap

a. Our “home resort” is AS Sports

b. If possible, do a personal handoff.

c. If not possible, use labels to label the box & fridge with the next swapper's info (except contact phone).

d. Please be sure to defrost the fridge prior to sending to AS Sports LS, especially while box is still intact. Please completely de-frost the fridge and wipe it dry if you will be bringing it to luggage services. To defrost, unplug the fridge, put a towel in it and under it (don’t get the carpet wet!) and leave the door slightly open. It should defrost overnight easily.

e. Either arrange for AS Sports LS to bring fridge to storage or get luggage cart and bring it yourself. IMPORTANT - Do Not leave the fridge in the room! Also if LS is picking up the fridge, be there and get a claim ticket.

3. Raise your right hand!! "I swear to get a claim ticket from LS for the fridge, then leave a copy at front desk for next swapper and keep a photocopy with claim number." If there is a gap btw you and the next swapper mail them the original and keep a copy. Please PM me with the claim #.

4. When you receive the fridge, please PM me if at all possible.

5. Please keep the fridge clean. The swap started with clorox wipes, please replace when necessary. Please wipe down the inside and outside with disinfectant wipes.

WHAT ARE YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES AS A SWAPPER?
You are responsible for arranging times, with the swapper before you and the swapper after you, to complete the "swap". Things will run a lot smoother if we do the swap in person from DISer to DISer. The less it goes behind the desk at AS Sports the better. IF you must leave it at luggage services you MUST place a note on the fridge box that contains the full name of the next swapper, check in date, & confirmation #. That way there is less chance of it getting lost by staff. The fridge box must be kept in good condition-that leads to a longer swap when it goes in and out of luggage services. Store the box somewhere where it will not be mistaken for trash by mousekeeping. Please be courteous to LS staff. They are doing us a favor by storing these fridges.

As per your guideline, perharps it's time for everyone on the list to update their resort on this board and then PM the previous and after swapper the required info.

I just wanted to confirm that I am still in and I will stay at AS Movies and will have the fridge from Kim. Are you going to leave on Aug 26? I won't be arriving until noon of Aug 27th. So I will be picking up the fridge at ASSport LS??

Our swap is getting full and the dates are getting closer!!!

What is everyone stocking up on for their trip to WDW? If anyone has any tips especially on how to beat the August heat I'd love to hear them. This is my 5th trip but 1st in the summer.

Last June We loved using a misting fan we got at walmart. it was 5.00 and a life saver.
