My cousin who is living in Malaysia is complaining about it to. VMK use to open for her at 10.00pm. Now it's opening for her at 11.00pm. So, she has to wait for an hour. She sleeps at 10.30pm. So she can only play VMK on weekends, is that fair? Do you call that fair? Think again!

Unfortunately, VMK can't cater to everyone, and we all know life isn't fair. For some of us the times it opens and closes works great, and for others it doesn't. I don't want to sound rude lol but its just a fact of life.

I mean, there isnt anything that can be done really. VMK does what it does. Not that they cant change their mind, but vmk has had the same time for open and close since it started. Even in beta it was 7am - 10pm PST. It was like that when she signed up, so I am not sure why you expect it is going to change.

I also don't see why the times have changed? If it opens at 11pm that means it is still open at 9am I know this is not the best situation but once again VMK cannot cater for everyone if they did there would be different servers for each country. So I don't call it fair but I don't call it not fair either.

Plus the American's get to go to Disneyland and the Brit's can't, we even have to go to France to get some magic

ok just a few things,
It is probably a quicker journey for us uk(and irish) people, to get to disneyland paris than for most americans to get to an american disney resort, unless they live rather near, they will probably have to take a plane also, america is a big place.
Im Irish, and have been to WDW once (granted that was thanks to the make a wish foundation)
I dont know why you would complain that we have disneyland paris nearby,
-it has what is thought by some as the most beautiful castle
-it had the most up to date pirates (idk anymore?)
-it has phantom manor
-it has the most authentic fantasyland and a frontierland with a backstory
-it has skull rock
-it has treasure isle
also, the hotels are lovely, and the entire complex is really accessable

(sorry for the off-topicness, I just had to defend my disneyland paris)

Unless they can get 24 hour staffing, it should stay as it is.
The people playing outside the hours would be the minority anyway

I'm assuming the open and close times changed for Lovela and others overseas because of the fact that those of us in the U.S. are now off of Daylight's Savings Time. Lovela, the time will change back to how it was before in March 2008.

Shame not everyone can play when they want to, but with moderators whom we assume live in the U.S., that's probably not going to happen unless they eliminate chat for those hours.

they can't cater to everbody! Yes, we would all like for vmk to be open 24/7. I live on the West Coast and always stay up late, and would love for it to be open longer than 10pm my time but it's not so oh well. And to be fair, yes America has Disneyland and Disney World but it's just as difficult and expensive to come to these places from other states as it would be from Britain to France. I am lucky to live very close to Disneyland in CA, but I can't just hop on a plane on a whim and go to WDW in Florida. It doesn't work like that. And people who aren't anywhere close to either place don't "get to go to Disneyland" (or WDW) at the drop of a hat either. Well, some do, but most save years for a trip like that.

My opinion:
I agree, VMK IS a game for everyone if you're on during opening hours. VMK is open for everyone at the same time if you catch my drift. 7am here, 10am eastern time, 3pm England time, we're all playing VMK at the same time.
They have a hard enough job working from 7am-10pm on moderating the game, plus coming up with new items for the game.
I agree it's hard to get to the parks to do the quests for the more harder to get items, but if you miss a few virtual items the world won't end.

I think it would be a great idea to have the game still on but the chat off at 10:00pm-7am, but then if people try and hack the game no one is there to stop them. That's an extra fee for hiring more workers for a night shift. Not that they can't afford it, it would just be an inconvience.

I believe you mean U.K time
If VMK was open 24/7 it would be difficult for the team to get new items on without us noticing, I suppose they could close the Emporium or whatever shop it is for a short amount of time.

I see no reason for VMK to break their backs to hire enough workers to stay open longer so that a minority can play. I'm sorry, but that's how I see it. If not being able to go on VMK is the worst day of your life, which I think you said shortly before you took that break, than you should decide what's more important. Ballet or playing VMK?

bottom line is, vmk is free for all to play. If you had to pay a monthly fee I could understand being upset that you can only play an hour a day or on the weekends only, but it's free, and I really don't see them changing their opening/closing EVER, unless of course they start charging! Then they would have to cater to a greater audience!

you shouldnt quit ballet for vmk. You should stay with ballet and play vmk on the weekends. The weekends are when the most important things happen anyways

I agree. VMK Could end tomorrow. We don't know if it will or not.
Ballet is something that will stay with you all your life.

I would have loved to have taken dance classes when I was a kid. My parents couldn't afford it. Week days are usually quite boring in VMK (other than spending time with friends). Weekends are when everything happens.

Its fine for me. Since VMK HQ is on the west coast, 7AM is great. It opens at 10 for me, but thats fine. More people in the US play than outside.

I wasn't trying to say that VMK is more important. If you like ballet at all, you should stick with it and just play VMK on the weekends.

I don't see why that is selfish? Really confused. The only way I can see your cousin playing is at weekends and as people have said that is when everything happens. New pins come out, new clothing and new furniture. I've also not heard anyone complaining this much about the VMK time from the U.K
