Clips for Magic Bands

A friend just advised me to get the clips to put on magic bands to keep them from falling off. What do I need to know about this? I have my magic bands for our Dec trip. We haven't used the bands before.

I don't think you need anything to keep them from falling off. Ours snap closed really tightly. We all (including my two kids, age 9 and 11) wore them everywhere except in the shower and to sleep, and never had any kind of issues.

My 11 year old is really skinny, so we did take the gray part off of his to keep it from slipping, but otherwise, I can't come up with a reason to buy anything special to keep it closed.

No need to add extra worries to your planning

Mine fell off on the monorail. Was lost. Thank God because then I used my plastic ticket the rest of the time and a credit card. No further problems from then on.

I've never had one fall off but a friend got one caught on the strap of his backpack and it pulled off. He just duct tapes them.

I had my band come unsnapped SEVERAL times in our last trip and the slider definitely came in handy. On my two previous trips, I didn't have a slider and on multiple occasions my band came unsnapped and fell off without me realizing it - thankfully, other people noticed it fall and handed it to me. But I could have easily lost it.

I do have a 2 year old that I pick up frequently - most (but not all) of the times my band fell off were related to him pressing against it while I was holding him. If you have small children, I would DEFINITELY recommend the slider.
