Clipart Creations Round #1

Okay Clipartists, get ready...

We'll start Round #1 next week on August 15th and run through the end of the month. This one will start off fairly easily, with the topic to be announced on the day the round begins. (We'll see how the time line works out at 2 weeks, and possibly modify it for future events.)

* There will be 2 Divisions... One For the Beginners, and one for our more Advanced creators. Choose whichever Division you like, but remember to challenge yourself!

* Clipart must be within the specified "board guidelines". (Exceptions may be made in some of the future events)

1) no more than 2 pieces of clip art per post.

2) clip art should total no more than 30k in size (to find out the amount of kb used by a graphic, right click on the graphic in your browser and select "properties". 1000 bytes = 1k, 15000 bytes = 15k). You may have one piece of clipart up to 30K in size, or any combination of two that add up to no more than 30K.

3) Clip art should be no more than 200 pixels in any direction (the above process will show the number of pixels as well).

* For the first round at least, we're going to allow all entries to be posted to a common thread, please indicate in the Subject Line what division you are going to enter under. At the end of the round, all entries will be reposted to a new thread, based on divisions.

* As far as "Judging" is concerned, all entrants will be asked to choose their three favorites, and the results will be tallied from these opinions. We can consider a "popular vote" in the future if someone can suggest a viable way to do so.

* Above all else, we want this to be a fun and educational experience for all involved, so step up, and get ready to create us a little bit of Magic.

Ok! Let the fun begin.

Like I said, we're going to start off a little on the easy side for this 1st round....

-- Your mission is to create a new Basic Signature. All of the standard Clipart Rules will apply in regards to size and form. You may also use any type of text in conjunction with your image.

-- For the Beginner catagory, you can use an existing piece of clipart found on the web.

-- For the Advanced, you must either create, or modify the clipart you choose to add to your "signature". (Animation of your clipart is welcome!)

-- Please post your "new" signature in the body of your submission.

-- Bonus points to be awarded for "Bandwidth Conservation"!
