It still amazes me -and most Europeans- that for so many Americans Clinton's screwing an intern is considered worse than Bush's screwing his country![]()
He only lied about his sex-life, GWB lied about his reasons for going to war.

I guess CLinton did not screw his country by opening himself up to blackmail, that could have led to policy decisions that may have been even more disasterous?
In relation to GWB I can see you have been reading the NY Post. You can get more reliable political discussion from Reader's Digest or Hustler.
Oh yes, I forgot. Anyone who believes anything other than Bil and Hil have not shared a bed in several years is fooling themselves! They are partners in power, not love.

While I certainly agree with your sentiment, perhaps if Clinton had been more on the ball about Al Quaida and the threat it represented rather than concentrating on putting that stain on her dress, we might be talking about different problems in our country today.
My cousin, who used to work in the Secret Service, told me years ago that they one agent assigned to Clinton just to make sure he kept his pants zipped up. Now, I'm sure that is a gross exaggeration (at least I hope it was!), but there must a bit of truth in it, otherwise the story would have never started.

Reliable data? Isn't that GWB's main problem?
He had 'reliable' data about WMD - but couldn't find any.
He had 'reliable' data about a link between Saddam and Osama - But according to the commission's result, there wasn't any.
Here's some reliable data: He had links between his own people and Saddam - Or have you forgotten that Reagan sent Rumsfeld to Saddam in '83 to work against the Mullahs in Iran.
I wonder, are you as negative about what Presidents Carter and Clinton say about our foreign policy? Or are you all for their right to express themselves?Originally posted by peachgirl
Nice to know that all you have to do is start a rumor and by the very act of starting it, you give it credibility.
Btw, I don't think the government would think much of your secret service cousin blabbing his mouth off regardless of what he's telling. Any secret service agent that spouts off after he leaves the service doesn't have enough character to be worthy of listening too.
I am always amazed at the perverse and continued interest in President Clinton's sex life.
