Clinton wins in NH

"I've got God's shoulder to cry on. And I cry a lot. I do a lot of crying in this job. I'll bet I've shed more tears than you can count, as president. I'll shed some tomorrow." - George W. Bush

My point exactly.

and he also has gotten misty and choked up on camera! My point exactly! It's not a bad thing!

Not to go off topic, but if we're gonna base what we want out of a President, I'd like the candidate to be as far removed from George W. Bush as is possible.

Would this be a bad thing?

FTR, no problem with me if HRC cried (or any other candidate for the matter). Being or running for prez is enough to make anyone cry.

Boomhauer...have you actually SEEN the video in question?

From listening to the news stations I though she had actually REALLY cried, but she doesn't at all. She gets a little choked up in her voice and looks tired, but she doesn't lose it at all or even shed a tear.

The news people were blowing it WAY out of proportion.

I can't imagine changing my vote based on that little video, I think the news polls had it wrong and Clinton was always ahead or very close (no 10 point difference). I also think this is a case of people hearing that Obama was going to win so instead of not voting they showed up in record numbers to vote for Hillary.
The media should not be allowed to project voting.

I'm disappointed. Although I agree with Hillary on many points, I do not think she can be an effective leader for this country because she is so disliked and distrusted. The very strong feelings people have about her will not disappear should she be elected and we'll continue the "us against them" stalemate that has existed for too many years. That is not what this country needs.

I am a life long democrat, but if she wins the democratic nomination I will vote against my party.

I am beginning to think the same. She has totally turned me off lately, and not just because she is attacking Obama. I'm really sick of the Bush/Clinton dynasty and the establishment. And I don't like how she thinks the nomination is hers because it is owed to her or something. She comes off as completely fake in public.

McCain is someone from the other party I would easily vote for over Hillary.

Oha and now we're on to Michigan where Hillary is guarranteed to win since her biggest oppenent on the ballot is Dennis Kucinech. (The rest of the democrats are protesting Michigan moving up their primary by not being on the ballot.)

Honestly, I don't think it should have been so big a deal. I am not a Hillary fan but I believe that she has not been treated fairly by the press. I had not heard that any other candidate got misty but I doubt the coverage would have been so crazy.

I so don't get that line of reasoning for crossing party lines and voting for another Republican, but to each his/her own, I guess.

Well, I don't really feel I have a choice. I've never, ever gone to the dark side before.

I do not feel Hillary can overcome her reputation to do the job. I think it will only cause further division and that's not something we can currently afford.

What if it were Romney, or Huckabee? You'd vote for them over Clinton?

My thinking is, if we're talking about creating a culture of hatred towards the gay community, these other 2 front runners would likely be leading the band.

I to am glad Hillary won :thumbsup2

As for her tearing up I felt that was true to heart. Just because the way her face looked as if she were trying it hold back the tears.

I feel that she will be change and turn this country around more than any of the candidates. I like her issues although agree not with them all.

She shows conviction, and a true love for this country. And she knows the ropes.

Obama would be my 2nd choice most likely.

No one should even be on the ballot in Michigan and if she tries to spin a win, she'll really turn a lot of Democrats off. Other candidates are urging their supporters to vote 'uncommitted.'

The DNC stripped Michigan of all their delegates and the candidates took their names off the ballots and agreed not to campaign there; that is, except Kuchinich and Hillary who left their names on there even if they aren't 'campaigning'.

Hate to be the one who tells you, but tears/public crying was the reason.

Headline: Bill Clinton: Tears won Hillary New Hampshire

I don't think Hillary's husband and ex-pres helps her look presidential at all.

I wouldn't vote for Romney or Huckabee. I like Romney's business background but he is a shell of a human, and don't get me started on Mr. Theocracy himself.

If Bloomberg got into the race and Hillary was the nominee, he would get my vote. If McCain wins the nomination and depending on his running mate, he would get my vote more than likely, over Hillary.

I definitely understand and appreciate your passion for Obama. I guess my question is, why vote for someone like, say, a Huckabee or Romney, if they're the R nominee, who's politics doesn't line up at all with your core beliefs, when you could simply sit this election cycle out?

From what I saw on the news, they aren't even covering anything democratic in Michigan.

What I don't get is--the state is allowed to do whatever it wants, why are the dems so mad?

Whatever. She clearly wasn't actually crying. And I don't believe what the media is saying. But you can be the one to tell me whatever you want.

(By the way, I am not planning to vote for Hillary. I just have learned not to trust everything the media tells me.)

My mood could certainly change before November if Hillary is the nominee, of course but I do not like her primary campaign at all.

The DNC made rules not to move primaries before February 5th except NV and SC, in order to keep the NH and IA tradition alive; however, they understood complaints those two states have too much say and aren't representative of the entire nation. So the Democrats threw NV in there, since the DNC are pinning their hopes on taking some of the western states in November (their convention is in Denver).

When MI and FL moved their primaries up, the RNC chopped their delegates in half and the DNC took all of them away. So the Democratic candidates vowed not to campaign there.

Clinton is directly quoted from The Telegraph. Most wouldn't see that newspaper as part of the vast distrusted media.

Quote: "Bill Clinton, the former US president, said that his wife Hillary won the New Hampshire primary because "people saw who she was" when she came close to tears after being asked how she kept going on the campaign trail."

I couldn't even begin to understand voting for someone who went against my core beliefs just to punish another candidate. Wow, that is some serious hate.
