Just heard this on the news.

I didn't care for his presidency, but I hope things will be ok for him today. He's in my prayers.

Edited to say: They're saying this is a 'common procedure' in these days. I though this was major surgery.

You beat me to the punch. ;)

I just heard this on 1010WINS radio in NYC.

I didn't care for him as a president but I do wish him well.

It may be "common" in the sense that lots of people undergo this procedure, but yes, it is major surgery.

Best wishes for President Clinton and a full recovery.

Indeed! Common or not....this is serious stuff. Sounds like the decision was somewhat emergent. Good thing they caught it!

It's not even on CNN yet - sounds like an emergency procedure to me. Hope all goes well.

Ditto. Best Wishes & Prayers Mr. President.

Guess it's time to swear off the Big Mac's Eh?

It must be an emergency, none of the newswires have it yet. Hope he does well.

I read this on the other thread...common procedure? Somehow I doubt he or Hilary are comforted by that.

Best wishes and hoping for a quick and full recovery!

Hoping all goes well...as bad as it is, I'm so glad they caught it now rather than him have a heart attack first.

It is unfortunately a common procedure in the United States. These days, in some cases, a small incision on the side of the chest is all that's necessary (although this almost certainly will NOT be the case for Clinton, as he will be having a quadruple bypass).

It'll certainly slow him down for a while. . .if you know what I mean--;) ;)

Just heard it on the 'breaking news'. Poor guy.

At least he saw the signs and got to the hospital right away.

Best Wishes for a speedy recovery.
