Clinton having quadruple bypass surgery today

My dad had this surgery 4 years ago. My thoughts go out to Chelsea. It's so hard to have your strong dad looking so helpless. But, my dad was actually released from the hospital 2 days later and I hope Bill Clinton's recovery goes just as well.

Good Luck, Bill!! :wave2:

They're reporting on CNN that he hasn't had the surgery yet and that his surgery is scheduled for tomorrow.

Hopefully he'll be OK. :(

Ditto. Best Wishes & Prayers Mr. President.

Guess it's time to swear off the Big Mac's Eh?

I don't know what he eats lately but it has been a lot less of it. He was on Letterman a couple weeks ago and was noticeably thinner. He looked great.

Wonder if he did Atkins?

Worth noting, he never released his medical records while running for office. This may have been a recognized ongoing problem, which we're just hearing about.

I hope he's better soon.

Also, NY Times is reporting that he did have a heart attack.

My thoughts go out to him as well. While this is such a "common" procedure these days, I've heard and know first hand of the complications that can take place. Hope things go well for him today.

BTW, my grandfather had triple bypass and my grandmother had 5!!!! Both had them over 7 years ago and both are doing great!

I hadn't heard that I thought it was a scheduled surgery, I guess not. Hillary and Chelsea must be a wreck. Prayers out to all of them..

Now their website is saying that he just had chest pains, so they may have jumped the gun.

It's sad how some people can't put aside their snide comments for just this once and wish the man, who was elected President twice despite how you feel about him, a speedy recovery :(

Who here has made a "snide comment"? And, as far as I can see, everyone has wished him a speedy recovery.

Sounds like he's a lucky man. It's said the most common first sign of heart disease is sudden death. Hope he comes through it OK.

the jokes about it slowing him down and McDonalds were not necessary IMHO

I don't see any snide comments, I guess I really am blind as some Demo have said about Republicans.

By the way, do a search here and see how cruel and nasty some were about President RR when he died. They couldn't even bite their tongues and wait till he was buried.:(

Looks like nit picking to me.

True, but I thought it was uncalled for then as well, so I can't really go along with people doing it now.

That is not what I meant. It was a FYI. Of course, it's uncalled for in both instances.

They were very cruel and insulting and disrespectful and couldn't even wait till he was buried. I wanted her to know that both sides have people who are inconsiderate and cruel.

What has been said here that even compares?????

I said nothing unkind to him and I haven't seen anything unkind, IMHO.

My thoughts go to him and Hilary and Chelsea. I hope he gets through okay.

Just heard it on the 'breaking news'. Poor guy.

At least he saw the signs and got to the hospital right away.

Best Wishes for a speedy recovery.

I heard that he had chest pains last night and didn't go in until this morning. That could have been a fatal delay. Its important that anyone experiencing chest pain respond to it immediately. I hope all goes well.
