I can't remember when my clematis starts to show signs of life. Can anyone tell me when it starts greening up? I'm in zone 5. Thanks

Mine has leafed out already too, it even has some buds.

I'm in zone 8 and I just planted one. It looks good now and has already put on a lot of growth in one week's time. I'm not sure about the greening up part, but I've heard they bloom in May, June, August. I assume that's for any zone.

Zone 9, here. Fully leaved out and growing like crazy. Don't know if your weather pattern was colder/wetter than normal; that might make them slower to pop out. :teeth:

Thanks! I think I may give it some more time. I hope the winter wasn't too much for it. It had such beautiful big white flowers. I'm going to keep my fingers crossed.

I'm in Zone 6, and my big white clematis is usually slower than the others for greening up. My red and my pink already have a foot of growth, but the large flowered white one shows nothing. I've lost this variety before, so I'm nervous, too, but I figure I'll give it another 2 weeks before I think about replacing it.

This is the first year that Ive had a clematis make it through the winter. (Im in zone 5). It is a pink and already lots of nice growth and leaves.

I hope yours makes it!
