How far (drive time?) is Clearwater Beach from the Disney area?

About 90 min depending on traffic. We live about 10 min from Clearwater Beach and that's how long it takes us to get to Disney.

We are also planning a visit to Clearwater Beach before heading to Disney this Summer. Do you have any recommendations on any hotels in the area? Thanks.

We are staying at small motel called Sea Captain Resort! We have our own kitchen and it's right across street from beach. It's family oriented. It's not a luxury hotel at all but that's not we wanted. And the price is GREAT plus it is ranked #1 place to stay at Clearwater on www.tripadvisor.com. Of course everyone likes something different but we are excited about our choice! A great way to find some other places is to go to tripadvisor and look for lodging in Clearwater FL area...You can read all the reviews--which I think is a great help!

Yes Once you are on I-275 in Tampa look for signs for SR60. Go west on SR60. It will take you across the Courtney Campbell Pkwy into Pinellas Co. Keep going west until you get to Clearwater Beach. You will go through downtown Clearwater and across the Clearwater Memorial Bridge. Once you are on Clearwater Beach you can go south on Gulf Blvd to get to other beaches. Have fun!!!!

Thanks so much for posting the pictures! We're leaving for Clearwater Beach in about 8 hrs.! We're hitting Clearwater to catch some Phillies spring training games before going to WDW. I've never been to the gulf beaches and I hear it's beautiful!

Looking for a beach not too far from WDW. wouldn't New smyerna or Coco beach be a shorter drive? Im just looking on a map I don't know the area. are these 2 beaches difficult to get to?
