Clearing at the Fort

I'm here also, and even my uneducated eye can see why the clearing is going on. All of the exposed roots I see can't be good.

They are clearing here in 2000 right now. That is obviously not for big rigs.

Carol, thanks for the pictures! It doesn't look quite as bad as I thought! I'm sure it's not as woodsy and secluded as it used to be, but it's not as open as I pictured.

Man, I wish you guys were my neighbors. Then I wouldn't have to mow my lawn or clear out any dead brush or trees.

I talked to a guy spraying.It's to kill the air potato and hanging pumpkin plants.He told me it will take 5 years to get rid of them.He said they kill the trees.I can remember when I first started camping at the fort in the 80's,you couldn't see the rv next to you.
