Clear plastic wrap that actually works/sticks

I'm not sure of the brand, but the yellow 2-pack at Costco - works great!

Kirkland. Its what saran wrap used to be like - clear and sticks. And cheap. Although you are buying a commercial sized two page of cling wrap - so you might want to split the package with a buddy.

DH uses Press N Seal to cover the prilocaine cream on his fistula buttonholes. (He puts it on an hour before starting his treatment--wraps his whole forearm.)

I don't think the makers of PNS thought of that one when they created it, lol.

I line my shelves--cupboard and fridge, and freezer--with it. Easy cleanup.

Not EXACTly the intended use for Press and Seal...but originally it was intended to hold chemicals onto the body...Crest White Strips : ) The product was designed by P&G and co-developed/branded with Glad.

I'm really lovin' the different uses for this stuff. Usually a roll lasts a long time around here, but I can see myself using it a lot more now.

Best plastic wrap is the restaurant style sold at Sams or BJ's

I agree 100%. We have a box of 18" x 2000 feet on our counter. Easier to dispense it out than the little boxes. And the wider length, means you don't need to piece it together as often.

The trick with plastic wrap-it stickers to itself. So you need to wrap it entirely around your bowl, plate, or whatever it is you are covering.

As long as we are talking about different uses of cling wrap, I have one you may or may not have heard of.

You know those expensive body wraps to lose inches? Well, here is a less expensive version.

Take either Preparation-H or Icy Hot (I prefer Preparation-H gel formula over the cream) and rub it all over your abs, side muffins, and back fat. Rub it in a couple inches above and below where the tape measure will go. Then take cling wrap and wrap it around over the cream/gel a few times. I also take a velcro waist band sold in fitness areas that targets your abs to sweat. Wear this overnight, you might want to put a towel on your bed if you sweat a lot. I am typically 3 inches smaller in the waist measurement the next morning. Of course the results are only temporary.

You can google for other people talking about preparation-h and icy hot wraps for temporary lost of inches in the waist.

You know, i think I'm going to try this. I discovered an old tube of PH when I cleaned out the bathroom. I wonder if I threw it away. hmmm.

Maybe it's just me but I'm having trouble finding a clear plastic wrap that works well these days. Looking for one that really sticks to the bowl, plate - whatever you're trying to cover - and gives an at least somewhat airtight covering. Haven't had good luck with the various Saran Wraps lately, which makes me wonder if the "recipe" for this product has changed (most likely in an effort to cut costs :rolleyes2). Don't like Press and Seal for day to day use, expensive and not clear.

Anyone have a winner?

Thanks!

I hate 'press and seal' - leaves a sticky residue on top of bowl, and Saran Wrap has never worked for me.

My winner for the last 30 years is 'Premium' plastic wrap from Walmart - can't get it at Sams. A large roll lasts forever and only costs $3-$4. Don't get the 'regular' wrap - a huge difference!! That's one of the 'few' products that I will only buy at Walmart! Can't beat it!

Glad Press N Seal

It has little micro ripples of texture on the cling side that makes it stick to anything. I mean it will stick to a solid flat surface, it will stick to mud....

I use it in the bottom of my fridge drawers and it stays put for months, when it gets yucky, I just peel it out and place new again.

No more miles and miles of cling wrap going around the ray/bowl 6 times to get it to stick.

I use this but never thought of using it in the frig. Great idea!

One which one sealed the best! (Target brand won).

I STILL have 2 boxes of the stuff 8 years later!!

I practically NEVER use it--I have many bowls with lids, both pyrex & plastic . It does not stick well to plastic anyway & I reheat only in pyrex.

The only plastic wrap I've found works right is Stretch-Tite. It's the same wrap as the one they sell at Costco under the Kirkland brand but you can also find it at other stores if you don't want the mega-mondo pack. I just picked up a roll at Safeway.

I rarely use the stuff- but when I do it's press and seal. Have the same box I bought years ago when it first came out. I like all the ideas Im getting for it here though. Going to try the fridge one today!

Another vote for Walmart brand Premium Wrap. It has a large amount on the roll and is reasonably priced. It will stick to the dish and to itself. I've used it for years.
