Can anyone tell me about your experiences with this? I was diagnosed with PCOS las year and wonder if I would have any luck with this device?

What does PCOS stand for?

Anyway....a very close friend of mine was using the fertility monitor to help with conceiving.

She never got pregnant while using it.

She did get pregnant when she stopped getting serious about it, and had the "if it happens, it happens, if it doesn't, it doesn't" approach.

She is 40 years old, and after having her tubes tied when she was 33 years old, decided to have them reattached when she was 38. After one ectopic and 2 miscarriages, she is pregnant again and is almost 10 weeks along.

I'm hoping she doesn't lose this one as well. She really wants another child.

She has a 20 y.o. daughter (who just had a baby of her own) and two sons that are 10 and 8 y.o.

Good luck to you on the monitor, I hope it works out for you.

I have a lot of experience with this, I had/have PCOS and it went undetected for many years. I saw doctor after doctor and went through one fertility treatment after another until I finally found a doctor that diagnosed me with PCOS. From the first I tried to conceive until I actually gave birth took 10 long years...from the time I was diagnosed with PSOC until I conceived was only 6 months. I have never used the Clear Plan Fertility Monitor, but I did use ovulation predictor kits when I got pregnant. I was diagnosed in May of 1995, had surgery June 1995 and had to wait three months until we could try, the second month we could try, along with the ovulation predictor kits and clomid I conceived my DS.

I know what you are going through {{{HUGS}}} and best of luck to you.

My sister used it along with Clomid to get pregnant. She has other health problems that prevent her from ovulating ever normally, so she used the Clomid to induce ovulation and the fertility monitor to know when and if it worked. She got pregnant the first time she took the Clomid.

Ugh. Clomid...Satan in pill form! ;) PCOSer here too, but have no experience with the Fertility Monitor. I would assume, though, if you're ovulating that you will be able to detect the surges. Best of luck!
