I like both, DH likes colored. The prelit tree we bought this year is colored. Works for me for now. When I collect enough Disney victorian Christmas decorations for a theme I'll probably go clear because it will look better.

I love the clear lights because they seem so old-fashioned to me. My kids like having multi on their tree upstairs.

We have always had colored lights, but this year we bought a new tree and DH wanted clear. Since we have always had colored I said why not. Can't wait to put the tree up and see how it looks.
