I have a bunch of Clear Channel certs that we will be using very soon!!!

Anyway, if i understand it correctly, all overages are just paid out of pocket.

What if (and this is a big what if) your bill is under the amount of the GC? We're not big eaters, and our kids aren't either. We could easily get by with two entrees between the four of us.

Do you get your money back in change? Or is it like if the bill is $37, and the cert is $50, the waiter gets the remainder as a tip?

What do you do if it is under?

hello

tax & tips are not covered by the certificate

if your meal comes to $45 you must still pay for the tax and tip out of pocket and you will not get back change from the $50 certificate

so...... order some drinks:rolleyes:

have fun:sunny:

Ok. I was wondering what would happen then. If the restaurant would cut you another GC, or just give you back cash. (I've done that in other restaurants)

So basically rule of thumb is to charge about the amount of the GC for the meal, and take on extra for tax and tip.

We've had the all inclusive tax and tip certs before for Disney, and that worked great, no worries, no carrying extra cash!

So tax and tip isn't a big deal.

I used over 6 of these during my stay and tax was included with the gc's but the tip was not. I used them at nascar, hardrock, and motown. As long as the total of bill with tax is under 50 you do not have to pay anything but the tip. One thing that I would recommend especially if you are only using one at a time, dont show the gcs till after you have eaten. I have found the service to be better if they do not know you have them. Because if they know you have them they try to oversell you on food to rack up your bill. They are a great value and the food was good everywhere we ate. If you go to motown try the philly cheese steak it is only 10.00 and it can be easily shared between two people.

As long as the total of bill with tax is under 50 you do not have to pay anything but the tip.

unfortunately this doesn't always hold true- at motown one server said the certificate would take care of the tax & tip & another said we would have to pay extra for tax and tip

look on the back of your certificates:
"gift certificate has no cash value and does not cover gratuity or tax"

we had certificates for motown, pastamore, latin quarter, hard rock, pat obrians, nascar, RPR luau, bob marley (we like to eat ):cake: motown was the only one that one time included tax and tip & some of the others included tax, you just never know?? it really just depends on the server.....so i figure its best to be prepared

either way the certificates are a great value!

:wave2:

We've got certs for Motown, Pat O Briens and Pastamore. We also have one off site cert as well (Shalimar Tandoor).

I'm sure it will be fine.

We're not really big eaters anymore (thank you South Beach!), so I am guessing we will be taking lots of things to go.

We don't really drink that much either, so it may desserts to go (to up the bill) and have the kids eat them later.
