I have a clear backpack. My sister swears by using it at WDW. That security can just look through it and does not have to open it. Now this would be great as I am always the one who holds up the line trying to get reorganized after searches.

Does anyone else have a good experience with clear backpacks? I am not entirely convinced that my sister is a good tell on this as she is crazy protective over her DD2 stuff and anti-germs and adamant on having no one touch my nieces things. And if you have seen my sister oin her momma bear protective mode you would not ask her to open her backpack either.lol :D

I have used a mesh backpack that works as well. The only issue with the mesh backpack is that contents might get wetter in the rain (but then I typically would carry it under my poncho).

when we were at disney last month a lady in front of us had a clear handbag and they still made her open it because she had alot of stuff in it. i guess if you didnt have that much in it and they could see everything it might save time. but they still seem to make you open even the clear ones :flower1:

The problem I have with them is that they are hot to use; that plastic really sticks to your back in hot weather.

Security seldom actually touches what you have in a bag; they have you move things around so that they can see. I suspect this is because they do not want to be accused of palming anything.

I actually do not have a problem with the security. I just hate holding everyone else up or at least feeling like I do I guess I am still on the search for the perfect Disney bag. :D

I have a clear backpack that I use only at Disney. I have used it for the past 4 trips. I have had one CM ask me to open it. I haven't had any problems with it getting hot in the summer either.

What do you guys carry in it? it has been said that if it has toomuch then they may make you open it.

I plan to use a plastic bag. - for my 3 year old... change of clothes, snack, etc and going to put in the stroller for next week. I am hoping that they do not make me take everything out to see what is in it.
And at the airport hopefully will be helpful too. - :cool1:

KD- I will be at the Pop Century this month also....the 21st-26th with my 2 kids!!! Hope you have a fun trip!!!!

What part of NEB are you in...I used to live in Grand Island and Hastings....

The biggest problem with a clear backpack is that it's ... well ... clear! What happens if it's that TOM and you didn't bring a regular bag? I wouldn't want everyone and their brother to know that I needed tampons!

True but even if you put your private stuff in a solid bag (which I would)the security guards would still ask that you open it.

we are about 20 miles east of lincoln, ne on hwy 2 or 80 south of omaha, ne :flower1: small town of unadilla, between lincoln ne & nebraska city ne

most security guards do not check very well last yr. a big family i would say 12 of them took in over a case of beer, i thought about telling someone but they seemed to be very nice.....

I always carry my "Disney Purse" with me to the parks, it's translucent plastic with paste flowers on it; you can see inside it and the Security Guards always laugh and say to me 'I wish more people had purses like yours'; I just hold it up and they 'view' it and let me pass through!

My dds each have a clear (yellow) backpack they use at WDW. Security never makes them open the pack.
